While it doesn't have all the bells and whistles present in the other DQ7 versions, I would say this is a great starting point for new fans, and a great reimagining of DQ7 with some lovely QoL. As someone who has been a dragon quest fan for years but no longer has the time to dedicate to grinding, the seperate exp and gold gain adjustment has been a lifesaver without compromising on difficulty.

Aside from that, Dragon Quest 7 itself is still a tale i hold in high regards, and the presentation for this reimagining is beautiful. Hoping for Dragon Quest 8 or Dragon Quest 9 remakes in the future!

It's a game with a miserable gacha, and i typically don't recommend these. However, I enjoy GBO2's gameplay enough. As someone who has not spent money in the gacha, there's a ton of free Mobile Suit that are obtainable that can more than punch their weight.

The game had a promising release and beta, but this is basically overwatch with mechs after awhile, and they fumbled their possibly amazing PvE mode with forced PvP, and an unfavorable monetization scheme. I can't recommend it in good faith. The mecha designs are very good however, and the customization is there, but gameplay fails on all fronts.

Fuga 3 withstood the test of time to its predecessors. It's a new spin on what made Fuga 1 and 2 so great, and punches you emotionally each time with every story beat.

This is the finest Trilogy I've played in years. Every entry was worth the money i spent on it, and I cannot wait to see whats next from this company.

I have made a review singing praises about Fuga 1. Fuga 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and improves upon the original tenfold. With an even better story, and improved gameplay to its original, its proof that Fuga has nowhere to go but up. The turn based gameplay is further improved and the difficulty has gone up while maintaining that degree of bite back, yet still fair. I would fully recommend playing Fuga 1 before moving onto Fuga 2, however.

A strong start to a game series I dearly love. If good story and narrative that leaves you misty eyed and caring for its cast. It's rare that I can say a game has a perfect main cast, and this game managed it with 12 likable characters across the board with no black (moo)sheep among them. The gameplay is, while not overtly challenging, has a decent bite to keep things interesting. If you're button mashing you're gonna get burnt, but if you plan carefully, and prep properly, you can shred through enemies with no problem. It's a perfect middle ground of Fire Emblem stakes (that are more in your control) and Dragon Quest turn based action in my opinion.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel itched a jrpg scratch i hadn't felt scratched in a long time, and I couldn't be more happier with the product I bought.

This game is plain fun. I've been longing for a decent Gundam game that's not a predatory gacha and ALSO accessible in the US. Come for customization and gameplay and stay for it.

Tl;dr, an attempt was made to make something nice. A sincere attempt I'd argue. Not good for a first introduction to the series, but good for a Dai fan (like myself) or someone who's okay with bypassing the story for gameplay.

Let's start with the good; gameplay wise, it's serviceable. Play's like an arena fighter, which if you enjoy that kind of gameplay, this game does it with flying colors. The movement is fluid, the characters are fun to play, and being able to build up the playable cast with upgrades is rewarding. The game gives a very fair challenge, and you'll find even the early game has a little bite to it, but can be overcome if you build properly.

Graphically, it's beautiful. The game is nice to look at and easy on the eyes. Effects are bright and colorful, and characters look brilliant, and the cutscenes are lovely recreations of the anime.

.. This leads me into one of my biggest gripes with the game; The Story's presentation. If it's not a cutscene, the story is presented as a slideshow of screenshots from the anime. And there is A LOT of this. As someone who already watched the anime, I can skip these no problem, but for someone who is using this to experience Dai's story for the first time, DON'T. It glosses over so many important characters, and arcs that the characters go through feels ham-fisted via this presentation, which is a shame because this is where Dai's story excels.

If I had to improve this, I'd argue that an abridged version of the story would've sufficed nicely. Less of the slideshows, and more storytelling during gameplay, even if it was just voiceovers during combat. Maybe even lightly done cutscenes where the characters stand around talking.

I'm recommending this out of my wholehearted love for the series, and out of the enjoyment i've gotten from this game so far despite it's evident flaws. I hope this will encourage people to watch the anime before playing this game. I know this team restarted development of this game in hopes of providing the best way to experience Dai's story, and they had to compromise somewhere. Start with the anime, then play this if you enjoy arena fighters.

Longtime player here since 2017 who was elated to see this game launch on PC. I've been playing since launch on mobile, and would wholey recommend this game. The community is generally friendly, supportive, and compensation/free rewards are very substantial. I can count on one hand the times I've bought premium currency on one hand, and it was because I believed my money was worth spending here.

There's a large grind to get caught up in terms of levels, but you'll be having fun all the while, through boss fights, quests and a genuinely engaging in-depth combat system with an unbelievable amount of flexibility, a housing system, pet system, diverse character customization, and a lot more to discover. This game has only gotten better since launch, and new players will have a lot to expeirence. As of 12/26/2021, there's an issue with logging in, but I would really insist on holding out until that issue is fixed, and as someone who has witnessed Asobimo's dedication to maintaining a quality product, they'll take care of it. Toram is a worthwhile experience, and i hope this review convinced you of that!
