I'm disappointed to have given this game a thumbs down. I loved Chernobylite 1. I bought it in EA, and played it throughout each and every update, and i love the game now. I saw they were making a second one, i was excited, and bought it in EA too. I wish i could say that i was having the same enjoyable time that i did when i played the first one in and throughout EA.

The characters feel soulless. They feel devoid of all emotion. The area that you are put into feels deliberately empty. What i mean by that is, there's no ambience, or no feelings of loneliness, it feels like they just didn't want to put any other characters in, apart from crucial quest characters. I also have to say, i saw people talk about AI voice acting, I'm guessing they were talking about the AI that speaks to you. I have little thoughts on this, i just wish they used actual voice actors and not a text-to-speech program.

The optimisation needs so much work. My i9-9900k, 3060 and 32gb runs on medium and i get 40fps, thats if there are no mobs on screen or any effects. I hate to compare, but MHWilds gives me 55fps on medium and that game is horrifically unoptimised. Please work on the optimisation.

Overall.. whilst its an EA game, it still needed more time to be developed before it even got launched into an EA state. This isn't to say that i won't be keeping an eye on it, look at updates etc., because i really want this game to be successful. A game being in EA shouldn't excuse the state it is in. It's lazy, it's allowing games to be further released without any work done, and it needs to stop.

capcom, for now, is only focused on doing collabs with other games and brands, not really focusing on optimisation. its a shame really. i love monster hunter. have loved it since the PSP era, but this one really shows how little capcom cares to make it playable for others.

dont buy the DLC though, im 99% sure it was originally free for those who pre-ordered, or digital deluxe edition? but now its not. pretty scummy from the devs.

its pretty good. its got the same vibes as the previous stalker games, and i quite like the atmosphere and the scenery in the game

only got an hour on the game but its very relaxing, i wont lie.

the OST is actually pretty good, which is a major plus for me, since one of my favourite series is the Persona series.

Summer in Mara definitely does have fetch quests, which can be annoying to some people, but it also has SOME farming. Personally, this isn't a game for someone who likes to be kept busy, but more for someone who just wants to have a relaxing time. No way to die, just tending your own island and doing quests.

get the game, or dont totally up to you, but DO NOT trust the developers. they were called FNTASTIC and made a game called The Day Before, essentially a scam game.
