If Dead Money has 1,000,000 enjoyers, I am one of them, if Dead Money has 1,000 enjoyers, I am one of them, if Dead Money has 1 enjoyer, it's me, if there is no one that enjoys Dead Money I am Dead (Money)

My unyielding love for what many consider gaming excrement aside, this dlc forces you to adapt to incredibly harsh circumstances without the comfort of any of your equipment. I play on Very Hard+Survival in all of my playthroughs, and unless I am overleveled to hell getting through the Sierra Madre is such a different experience from any other pieces of content in the game. You are forced to scrounge in the dirt and make due with the most barebones of equipment, all while dealing with a map hazard that drains your hp and enemies that are quite difficult to take down. All of this being said, despite what people may try to suggest, this dlc is not attempting to set you up for failure. It expects a certain level of thoroughness that just isn't required for anything else in the game. The holotapes that add new items to the vending machines (The Weapon Repair Kits especially) and having to scrounge for cigarettes and clothing to get items you need for survival are more than enough to insure you can make it through with some effort. I believe the main reason why this dlc is so widely disliked is because it goes against the typical gameplay loop of the game. But that's why I personally love it so much. It forces me to interact with the game in a way that is never expected or even really encouraged outside of it. As for bugs, surprisingly I have had very few issues with it, outside of some cards falling out of bounds for the Dead Man's Hand challenge, which has plagued every playthrough I've done of Dead Money across every platform I've played it on, so it's more like tradition at this point.

The Hardest part is letting go. Letting go of poverty, that is-watch this

This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks, the 100% felt like grinding my balls against a glass grindstone. 10/10

I still agree with my past self, I just want to note that this is the most unique game in the series. I would recommend giving it a sincere try since I believe it has a lot to offer.

In playing this game for *far* more hours, I have realized that it deserves a better review. It does not function as a replacement for the original game, rather as a modernization of its mechanics and story. That being said, they did an absolutely incredible job. Ashley in particular has been given a huge character glow up, and while I did enjoy Ashley even in the original I absolutely adore her in the remake. The combat, despite not functioning even remotely the same, still keeps the tension of the original. My only complaint would be the inconsistency of basic hand grenades on professional, I swear they have a mind of their own. I believe as of writing this review I have about equal hours in both the original and remake, and I would say that they are both fairly equal in terms of enjoyment. It's well worth the price and it gives me continued hope for the remakes they will almost certainly be releasing in the future. (hopefully that last sentence doesn't age like milk)

Easily the best 5 dollars I've spent on Steam. I can't even remember how many playthroughs I have done of this game, all I know is that I will be continuously coming back well into the future

I mean....it's Fallout New Vegas. Anything I could possibly write to explain why I love this game has already been done to death. It's many people's favorite Fallout game for a very good reason. The DLC's in my opinion are all worth experiencing and the game goes on sale constantly for dirt cheap, can't recommend it enough.

First off, I should start with the fact that this game is not for everyone. I personally love this game. I got it for free on my ps4 around 3-4 months ago, and it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I ended up putting about 100 hours into the game. One thing I should note is that it gets really, really repetitive after you complete the story. I tried putting in some sides quests in between the story, and it definetly made it feel like I was actually getting somewhere, and it helped draw out the amount of time that the game was still enjoyable for. I wouldn't say it's worth 20 dollars, maybe more around 15, but if you just want to try a game out and have nothing better to do, I would say go for it. Maybe try to get it on a discount, so you get your money's worth. Overall, I give this game a 7-8/10
