And yes, Aperture and Half life 2 do hook up. Black Mesa was apertures rival. Both companys were trying to make a better weapon. Aperature had the hand held portal device while black mesa had the portals to differant worlds. In the end, no one won. Aperture went to ♥♥♥♥ becaue of glados and black mesa went to ♥♥♥♥ because of cascade ressonence
