Other reviews hit the nail on the head, this has heavy Warcraft 3 Tower Defense games in its blood. If gold was a proximity pickup in WC3 I can easily see queuing for this in the early 2000's. The live preview of the line the enemies will take as they navigate your maze is a huge QOL improvement over the old games while air remains the greatest enemy any TD player will ever see. Adding rouge-like elements with artifacts that can significantly affect your builds seems like an obvious evolution of the genera and is implemented well with numerous maps that demand different builds to achieve results. With remade classics like Element TD asking for 15 bucks this is a steal even at the full price of 8 dollars, and that's not even to mention the option for co-op.

A interesting take on surviving the backrooms. A nice change from the "the monster touches you and you die in a cutscene" craze most Backrooms games suffer from. The Demo sets up a storyline of a general corpo bad guy entity with what looks like live-action news briefs, then you are dropped into a hub space that it seems you will loop around back too over the game to upgrade and stash supplies like a Resident Evil game. The game also has some touches of Dying Light, the feeling of landing a dropkick into rushing over to stomp them out is great! Looking forward to more when we get a full release!

Early Access Review
Don't Buy / Failure Dev
Take my 200+hours played as a caution. I've followed since dev began in 2015 and really wanted this game to work out. You will not see the failings in the 2 hr window for full refund.

Game has potential but after a 5 year alpha process it has been abandoned by its developers. As a kickstarter backer it's fairly disgusting to see it go down so horribly. After promising a beta in december of 2015 it should come as no shock that it's still unstable now past 20 villagers. The game was "too hard" was the excuse the game devs actually used to explain why its left to rot. Now stands as a good idea so poorly executed. The devs abandoned the game entirely. Cut and run, money grab. The game was in beta as of June 14th. As of July 5th, its full release with a long winded run about which features promised in kickstarter are now labeled as "doesn't fit with the game" and "Hard to do than we thought".

After the projects release (read as “abandonment”) the "developers" are seeking other ventures. Hopefully they will not tank the next project they work on as hard as this one.
