CP2077 does a top tier job of novel use of first-person shooter gameplay to tell an interesting and compelling story. While I was hesitant about it at first due to some early controversies during development, on seeing the completed game it's clearly one of the best to ever do it IMO.

This is a pretty good adaptation of the fantastic board game. It doesn't have all of the ceremony of putting stickers on your game board that permanently change it, but it's a lot faster and easier to clean up than playing with a physical copy. Steam Friends integration is pretty easy, I have only had one desync issue in 60 hours.

If you aren't familiar with the board game, Gloomhaven is a turn-based tactics game for one to four friends. It has a lot of depth to it, and the game is set up with progression for your world based on the missions your team chooses to do. Fantasy-wise It's a little heavyhanded on "profit = good" ideology, but mechanically it's just a fun, deeply strategic game.

Stellaris is a great game if you want to lose yourself in a galaxy full of interesting aliens and chart out your civilization's story. Every playthrough is unique, which gives the game a ton of replay value. I mostly play as Star Trek-like friendly diplomancer humans, but you can play a warlike civilization or some truly strange things like collective hiveminds, AI singularities - the options are many and can fit almost any Sci-Fi fantasy.

My one gripe with the game is that save files tend to get bricked when they ship DLC. However, on balance, this is not that big of a deal - I'm always excited to start a new story with the new rules and new options.

Early Access Review
Stumbled upon this game and absolutely love it. The dungeon crawl is well-done, the replay value is immense, and each class feels very cool. Surprised it's still labeled early-access - it's very polished!
