-Truly an RPG, you are a witcher and its a broad specter you live out this role.
-Wide range of emotions you will experience in this product.
-The camera during cut-scenes, it dramatizes an other dull moment of stationary camera cut-scene.
-Leveling system is not grindy! Lvl 1-10 requires 1000xp, lvl 10-20, 1500xp, its adds only 500 extra xp per ten level. I highly appreciate this because "65 mil xp till next level" makes you lose the connection to it being special.
-Most fights have meaning!

3 Con and Functions i miss
-Some oil bottles you put on your swords are similar to one another; five of them have orange in them in different hues; one mixes them up easily. Symbols or some other way to distinguish them would of been wanted.

-Multiple references to old stories, ex: little red riding hood and snow white and the seven dwarfs, or is it just me?
-How this game portrayed different races felt like a mix of racism but also a description of different personalities, this mixed or back and forth. For some reason this personalities part felt new to me, anyone else?

-You will see more aspects of this witcher role than your used to in other RPGs. Rich language and lore. Broad specter of emotions, you get the whole register in this product.

1 Intro
Exciting with a "new" genre of Warhammer 40k, been a while or havnt previously existed this kind of w40k game; a somewhat typical RPG with a detective approach. IM (inquisitor martyrs) detective aspect of the game reminds one of Eisenhorn: Xenos; great story to watch on youtube, not so advanced beside that as a gaming experience. IM¨s campaign is more reading/ written story than you normally see in games; something i appreciated. And the three classes have distinct differences in gameplay but with a lot of options for personal taste.

2 Pro and praise
p Mission complete tab to exit, when you finish a mission, you choose when to exit.
p Pause whenever SP (single player), much appreciated when you have obligtions at home.
p Detective aspect, more written text for readers, some games can have to much action and less else.
p Difficulty mechanic, choose before each campaign mission the difficulty, and theres some incentives for it as well.
p Proirity assignment, are mini campaigns with 3-7 missions where you have some impact on
a minor story, theres incentives for them and potential in further development.
p Heroic deeds and star system influence connected between all your characters. A winning concept imo where all your efforts count for same rewards in the sandbox.
p/c O.K biomes/ environments, there are: jungle with small roads, frozen wasteland open map, in a ship corridors and rooms, city bridges corridors, city siege open map. Even though there is variation and have random generated maps, it still gets repetetive after a while. It could be the dystopic but thats also the signum of w40k which should stay ofcourse.
p Heroic deeds, are awesome, its short goals each with a stat or perk reward. It encouraged me at least to play from different perspectives/ ways and different classes. Some where to grindy and i whonder for what reason.
p Storage connected between characters, its connected; put in as crusader, pick out as psyker.
p Cabal missions, kinda like guild/ clan missions with rewards for your cabal and you indirectly. The variation in them are o.k. You also get rewards for your effort in the end of the week based on the place you end up in points contributed.
p Cover matters/ terrain, lateral and vertical, brings us back to thoughts of DoW2 where this was appreciated.
p Size enemy, different sizes and damage types, kinda like in DoW2.
p Aiming, altough i havnt managed to do it myself theres a cool function to sever limbs mid fight to cripple your oponent.
p Protector; the one with currently most glory points gets her name visible under a subsector.
p In uthers tharoth, you can compose conditions for missions, it comes with specific rewards as well.
p Peport bug, theres a button for it close by! You need to sign up first hand but after that
it looked organized and serious.
p Reward system overall is well done imo, a lot of incentives to explore and continue playing.
p Traps in game to watch out for, in most cases well placed.
p Variety, mini games, pvp, last stand, co op, short campaigns, probably on a level that you can expect from games now aday, but still important to mention.
p Different voices for each class in campaign, expected though.
p Personalisation to classes, psyker class has his psyker part which is beoynd what crusader and assassin has.

3 Con
c Chat functions so so, as a game from 2018 it should have been better.
c Klunky terrain, terrain obstructing your path is common, even thoug it looks passable.
c Factions statistic is not yet developed or not working, a fun idea i would like to see work.
c Faction meetings participation; in the campaign i lacked this presence to actually see visually the character you interact with. Mostly your on the command bridge and recieving vox comms; text plus a person speaking in a small box.
c Language, spelling, voice-subtitle/text, deserves some critique and were common. I also whonder why the word "kappa" where seen in multiple places in text.
c Some skills bonuses, their descriptions are unclear.
c Blurry descriptions of certain game elements or left out completely in the tutorial text section.
c Not getting the feel from the short campaigns; that your doing what the mission says your doing.
c Obstructed screen, multiple, items, success, hp. At times it felt a bit to much or that they could have had transparent background or partially completely transparent.
c Replay detective clues, audio doesnt work. I expected to be able to hear briefings and audio logs later on when reading clues and story, but it did not work when pressing play button.
c HP bar could be more interesting/ variated but was o.k.
c Cabal rank points list could exist, to see who else contributes and what score they have, would have been motivating for some players.
c Mix together scenery, forest, inside, outside, city, island, ship inside outside hangar.
c Cant close cabal window thru the icon like with the other tabs on the command bridge.
c Increasingly higher modification costs got rather irritating with time.
c Dialgue clunky at unholy cathedral and merciful agony mcxii, each time to select an options it re reads the information displayed.
c Bad sync before n after cinematics, however the second and third time i played the campagn it made more sence. But a cupple of more seconds cinematic lingering before and after and maybe a slower change from cinematic to back to game could do the trick.
c No rain sound?
c Bug, buffs count realtime during executions (performed in slow motion).
c Character color customization; few colors and layers/ locations in general and on the body/ leg area.
c Mines doesnt count as traps toward heroic deeds..
c Request, heroic deeds, could have had a class deeds list tab, more a QoL request.
c Request, heroic deeds, to be able to see what the perk does/mean/info, QoL request.
c Request, When making puritan or radical path decisions i would have wished to be able to read thru the "detective work/ info" once more before deciding. However i did discover you could read thru the journal while in mission by pressing J, though you dont have the option to postpone the decision.

4 Gameplay (Factions, Vehicles, Maps, Combat)

Factions/ Classes
Well theres only one faction here, inquisitors from imperium of man but with distinct differences in gameplay. I played the crusader first, then assassin and last psyker.
Assassin, faster paced glass.
Crusader, more of a tank and higher armor and generally slower paced combat but with teleport and jump pack options.I mostly played this as ranged and later on with melee and shield as the deflection/ dodge bonus were high.
Psyker, a traditional wizard but in a w40k fashion

Vehicles,
Maps, Think its the premade square quadrat tiles in the maps that gives the grindy feel.
Combat

5 Mechanics (Advancement/Progression, Loadout editor, hero classes)

Book? Grinding after 40h, enjoyable tough. I like the idea of the game but it fails to deliver.
Charming game in w40k spirit. Plenty of things well thought that deserves credit.

1 Intro, Kudos to Fatshark for.. Improvements from V1..
-Kudos to Fatshark for Releasing V2 three years from V1, Regular updates and DLC/ contect releases in V1, hope to see that in V2 as well. Group achievements in V1; to do special things on different maps. Hope to see that in V2 as well.
-Improvements from V1 are among few that the Scoreboard is more clear. Variation in enemies; types of weapons, visually, shields, specials etc. Loot system less random as in you have a bigger influence of it. Graphics. Inventory is now more clear. Additional character weapons. More informative HUD info regarding characters potion, bomb and heal gear. Lobby tree more clear. Improved salvage system; less likley to salvage by mistake. Each map is equally long/ much worth; theres always 5 books on each map. Nice solution with quick play; that you get bonus reward for doing it.
-Some new mechanics are the Lvl system, Talent/ skill tree and Character "paths", 3/ character.

2 Pro and praise
-Weekly events.
-Deeds.
-Healing with med pack have been made easier, just hold and it will heal the target if it gets aimed.
-Intro to maps, text and speach, insteed of waiting in silence.
-Favorite mark items, super so they cant be accidentaly salvaged, and moves to top inventery.
-Ping in color and number, latency connection, on tab.
-Okris challenges, quests and progression, well made.
-Dummys w/wo armor in the base/hub.
-Social wheel in game, fast short commands/ comments in general, plus directly on players and on items.
-Benchmark function/test, you dont see these on to many games, beside this one ive seen it on DoW2 as well.
-Graphics nice, variation in hero character gameplay is nice, variety in foes is nice.
-Support for team workshop with some mods sanctioned/ approved for the original game, simply awesome.
-Ofiicial and unofficial servers for players who want to explore the game with fun mods.

3 Con + Functions i miss
-Room for improvement, when you choose map, make the icon a video/ moving, alternativley, add that to the side bar along the map description. Also an option to turn off this function.
-Dummys for each damage type, the ones im missing are berserkers, super armor and monster.
-Item doesnt stay in crafting slot after ex rerolling properties, gets tedious when rerolling traits fifty times in a row.
-Miss- Option to choose which map im QP searching for, including DLCs or not.
-Miss- Restart option while in game, to not be to forced to reque and reload as much.
-Miss- Option in match making to not be host.
-Miss- Option function: Direction + backspace for dodging as in V1.
-Miss- To be able to pause the game if your playing solo/ choose to play alone solo as in V1.
-Miss- Voice activation option setting.
-Miss- The mission map, its more clear now but i really liked seeing that map were missions where located. Maybe if you combined the two could have been possible.
-Miss- Training area vs single enemy, for dodge training.
-Miss- Show loot dies in the shift tab by the tomes and grims.

-To be able to see what others are wearing; equipment in the shift overlay. Theres a mod for it.
-Timer/ counter, not in original game but brought to us thru sanctioned/ approved mod via steam workshop.
-No visible lvl function like in V1, its personal now so only you see it, this is for the best as well.

Most games is not something me and my girlfriend could play together or both enjoy. The majorety of the titles i checked up were in the horror genre and this one stood out because it wasnt one of those. We were looking for something non horror/ thriller or "FPS"; non fast paced looking right n left. What appealed to both of us were the dialogues, flirting and drama. It was a joyful experience playing this adequate/ moderate, long game.

It took me by surprise, probably due to various distractions at home, the mystery genre part of the game, its very present in this "novel" and a significant piece of the experience in my opinion. I did the mistake of, once i completed the game i asked myself is this all? And looked up a steam guide for alternative endings, review, spoilers and achievements. It totally ruined it for a re run of the game; after my first playthrough i noticed something was off, that there were mystery involved. No doubt you could replay the game after realizing that, my impatience got the best of me, tip of the day: dont read the ending prematurely =)

My only wish for the game is the dialogues on time, a setting to increase the timer or turn the timer off. I like to drag it out, choosing and analysing my response,
