I started this journey in the Cosmodrome twelve years ago, and somehow Destiny became more than just a game to me. It became part of my life.

I was there for the sleepless raid nights, the impossible grinds, the Trials frustrations, the expansions that made us dream, and even the moments that tested our patience. Through every high and low, Destiny always had something special: the feeling that we were part of something bigger together.

Few games ever managed to create memories the way Destiny did. The first raid clear with friends. Hearing “Eyes up, Guardian” for the first time. Watching the Traveler heal. Stepping into The Final Shape knowing an era was ending. These are moments I’ll genuinely carry forever.

Destiny wasn’t perfect, but that’s never what made us stay. We stayed because of the friendships, the music, the universe, the lore, and the feeling of logging in after a long day and seeing familiar names online waiting for one more strike, one more raid, one more adventure.

Reading Bungie’s farewell message feels surreal. Knowing Destiny 2 development is ending feels like saying goodbye to a place I lived in for over a decade. But honestly, I’m grateful. Grateful that this universe existed at all. Grateful that I got to experience it from beginning to end.

Twelve years later, after spending literally half of my life in this universe, I can confidently say Destiny was one of the most unforgettable gaming experiences I will ever have.
