Irish Danganronpa. 9/10.

The story is unique and engaging. Side stories are simple but interesting. Gameplay is standard talk to people, solve puzzles, and interact with things, but actions progress time forward which adds a reasonable amount of pressure to the game.

I loved Darkside Detective and I was blown away by what Spooky Doorway created here. Going from a 2D point and click adventure to a 3D cell shaded interactive detective story is incredible.

I must admit, it's easy to compare this game to Danganronpa and Obra Dinn and Ace Attorney, but the scope of this game is larger, the story is unique, and most people will probably enjoy this game more.

Complaints
You don't really feel like a detective for most of the game. It's more like narrowing down a list of suspects as the story progresses. However, if they leaned too hard into the detective gameplay, it wouldn't be as entertaining or cohesive story wise.
I missed one small item that was very well hidden and it prevented me from completing a side story. Damn wanted poster!! (I went back later because it was literally the only one I didn't finish, only to find out I missed 1 mystery as well. So I'll be coming back soon to 100% complete this.)
The big bad becomes obvious in the final 1/4 of the game. It doesn't help that they are a character you don't see a lot of, which kinda gives it away. I think they should have a fake mystery you solve that makes it less obvious.
Keeping track of time is a very cool feature in this game, but it would be cool to see that have more implications than just who is going to be where at which time. It was still cool for some interactions though.

Summary
My complaints are very nitpicky. I had a blast exploring the manor and trying to unravel the events happening. The story is fresh and engaging, which is hard to do in 2026. They found a new twist to make this genre relevant and engaging. If you enjoyed Danganronpa, Obra Dinn, or Ace Attorney, you'll love this game.

This is the best way to play the critically acclaimed Mass Effect trilogy. I was surprised by how well Mass Effect 1 holds up after all this time. It has more of a hardcore RPG feel than Mass Effect 2. A lot of the changes made in ME2 are improvements, but it does feel like the RPG element was simplified. In this case, I think it is a positive. A lot of other series water down everything, but these changes make it a "cut to the action" faster paced game with so much content and a great story. Growing up, I never played ME1 since it wasn't on the PS3, and now I have so much more context that I didn't have when I played ME2. I love how Mass Effect balances the storytelling and combat perfectly. Exploring alien worlds and futuristic city hubs never gets old. The graphics in ME2 shine beautifully and I'm often pausing for a second just to say "Woah. That looks amazing." I've yet to replay ME3, but I'm really looking forward to fully experiencing this trilogy in one go.

I regret not playing this game more years ago. The story is thrilling and gripping, the gameplay feels freeing, and every corner of Talos I has something to read, marvel at, fear, hit, or shoot. The game really rewards you for experimenting and exploring, which is how every video game should be designed.

Choose your own playstyle.
Whether you only want to shoot Typhon with your pistol (you'll be recycling A LOT of materials for ammo, ask me how I know) or GLOO enemies and punch them or use powers or use the environment or use stealth or use a couple other weapons to choose from.
You can move around the space station with A LOT of freedom. There are only a couple areas that are truly locked down for story reasons. Most rooms that are locked, you can bypass them with the right ability or just by exploring. Kill some of the story characters, if you dare.

Why play it?
It's dark, close quarters combat on a space station.
It's like Bioshock, but in space.
The mimics hide as ordinary objects -- so you'll never know what to expect.
There's references to star wars, D&D, and other great titles.
The pistol and shotgun feel solid to shoot. The GLOO cannon is fun for hours.
20+ hours of exploring a space station with hidden areas and stories scattered around that don't feel like a chore to read.
This game is an immersive sim masterpiece.

Complaints
The Cystoids are just a nuisance...
The Nightmare is kinda annoying when you're in certain areas.
I was soft-locked in one area, the game probably should have been more clear and told you to have some resources before proceeding. I had to start a save from a couple hours before and did other things until I wanted to progress that way.
The main story is great but I would love to see some more paths to it early on.
More side missions designed like the Treasure Hunt would have been great.
Just a couple more great side stories like there are in deus ex: mankind divided would have been amazing.

There have been so many attempts at this type of game. The singleplayer Space Crew, the unappreciated PULSAR: Lost Colony. Marauders. And Starfield has even introduced some of the space crew combat sim elements to AAA titles. I really, really like the roguelike aspect this game has brought to the genre.

Void Crew is the penultimate teamwork space sim combat game. It is honestly my favorite in the genre, and I hope that through updates it can become even better as you do start to notice there are some features that would be nice to have in this game. But the important part is, I played a 4 hour long run today with **randoms** and had a complete blast.

The game does need more content, and maybe rotating skills or some kind of skill wipe would help give returning players something to do because It seems like progression is too fast/easy. A part of me wishes I had to play Engineer to level up my Engineer skills, instead of just leveling Gunner and being able to max out skills just for playing 20+ hours. If they took some inspiration from PULSAR on a few things, I think they could really make this the best space crew combat sim game ever made.

Anyway, it's 9/10 and easily worth $30. I dare say it would even be worth more if more content is added. I'd love to see the roles expand as well. Pilot and Gunner are pretty polished, but Engineer and scavenger could use some tweaking (especially scavenger)

First impressions, will update review later

The narration/writing is okay, nothing outstanding so far.
The introduction of the game is kinda boring and confusing, but some of it makes sense when you read the journal.
The DOF is atrocious. It blurs everything that is not in focus way too much to the point of being distracting. I wish there was a slider to adjust it.
I killed a wolf, walked over its body and fell through the map...then had to load and start back at the shelter.

As soon as an idea pops in your head its like you can't ignore it, even if its 3 am and you need to go to bed. This compulsion made me set up a long hypertube from my refinery to my main base, setup truck stations, refine the 5 km tractor path from the refinery to my main base, and make the truck stations look like nice warehouses/garages. There is just so much to do in this game (both content wise and objective wise).

The tutorial is bare bones but honestly learning things organically is the best part of this game. Build the factory rough at first to get parts made, then refine it to continue growing. You'll be thinking of how to improve your factory throughout the day. And when you fix the bottlenecks caused by not using the right conveyor belt or missing something simple, your brain will get a little buzz of serotonin and you'll feel like an idiot and a genius at the same time. You can take your time and work on whatever you want whenever you want... until you want to unlock more and then you force yourself to come up with a way to make more, and make it more efficiently.

One of the most rewarding games ever made. 10/10.

It's a low poly game that borrows the best concepts from Squad, Battlefield BC2/3/4, and other tactical FPS games. Instead of "breaking the formula", it's a class-based FPS where you fight over objectives as a team with simple gunplay mechanics that don't feel like you're drunkenly trying to piss on someone (aka BF 2042 at launch).

There's no wingsuits, gimmicky gadgets, convoluted class system, or bad UI design.
There's no operators, bad map design, or a complete lack of destructible buildings.
