Gorgeous and tightly crafted metroidvania with parry-based aggressive combat that's heavily inspired by Sekiro. There's a lot to love from the beautiful and unique artstyle and setting, the combat is tight, responsive and favors those who can capitalize on every opening while reacting to an unrelenting opponent. The story even surprised me with some very touching moments and interesting characters. Even as you gain increasingly powerful abilities and ways to respond to enemy attacks, the game manages to up the difficulty in kind in a way that is satisfying and keeps you on your toes.

Highly recommend if you like Metroidvanias, Sekiro, Hollow Knight, or a game that will challenge you to learn and master all of it's tools and tricks. Currently my Game of the Year and certainly one of the best Metroidvanias I've ever played.

Fantastic shooter with a lot of F.E.A.R. and immersive sim DNA that really stretches GZDoom to its limits. Intense combat where every edge you can get matters, satisfying and punchy weapons, intricate and destructible environments, and a fantastic soundtrack. The first chapter alone is a complete experience well worth the price - and two more chapters are in the works! The enemies are surprisingly clever, working in squads to push and flank you, forcing you to adapt and plan on the run, enhanced by the way they talk to each other and react to what you do. Despite being GZDoom, this very much isn't just another Doom WAD, Selaco manages to create a unique and incredibly fun experience as you cut your way through enemies that get stronger and more adaptable with every fight, toy with the incredibly interactable environments, and upgrade and specialize your growing arsenal, all while making sure to keep your Burger Flipper empire growing.

Highly recommend if you enjoy games like F.E.A.R., Half-life 1&2, System Shock, Blood or Duke Nukem - or if you just like a good shooter with an eye for detail. With only one chapter Selaco is still one of (if not the) best games I've played this year. I can't wait to see what's in store for the next chapter.

Great sequel to a great game. Also, dinosaurs.

This game is the definition of "Just Five More Minutes" mixed with a compulsive need for efficiency.

Blew up a biplane with a mine. 11/10 would play again.
