Fantastic factory building game! Very much the same vein as Factorio. I had a blast 100%ing the game.

Played a lot during the free weekend. If you like these kinds of colony builders then this is right up your ally. There is a narrative story that goes along as you terraform Mars that is interesting and gives you goals. There are some downsides to the core gameplay.

It can be a bit repetitive. The story kept me going trough the core gameplay loop.

The AI moving and supplying resources is well, not very smart. Putting some buildings in "priority" mode is a must. The AI was neglecting my colony buildings even though i had plenty of workers around them and plenty of resources to supply them. I was wondering why my colonist were fleeing. They weren't getting the resources they needed. There is also no easy indication of why colonist would be fleeing. I do wish there was a bit more control over your workers.

Mars is big. Expanding to some of the story nodes is silly. You must build the two buildings required for everything, a power plant and maintenance plant one after the other until you reach the destination. There really needs to be power lines or roads that carry power, or some way to transmit power over long distances.


Lots of cool stuff as well. The map changing as you terraform. Watching lakes and rivers and oceans form. Trying to nab resource nodes before they are lost to the newly forming oceans. Oribital missions to deorbit asteroids and comments and even a moon to speed up the teraforming.

Worth a play if you enjoy colony building games.

A beautiful world with interesting monsters to fight. Many many levels of difficulty. Each weapon plays very differently from one another. Hop in for a quick 15 minute hunt or play for hours on end gridning mats for new armor.

Real time strategizing like it's 1999! So many good memories brought right back to life.
