Good solo, better in a group. All around an enjoyable experience between movement, combat, music, character interactions, and DIGGING!

I've been on the hype train for this game for a while now. Since I've bought it, and had a bit of experience playing solo and in groups, I can say it is definately a game built for more than one player. I had difficulty playing solo, and was even challenged with groups very frequently. I do believe this game is for group use only, and solo play is pointless other than to train 1v1 combat and knowing how to deal with enemies. I love the game, but there are flaws, too. Even though the game seemingly gets easier with more people, it's really just because there are people to pick you up when you "die," because in groups, I find I am much less concerned about how I deal with my health, and switching back to solo play after being in a group is difficult. Also, any combat with more than just yourself is extremely difficult, because the players constantly hit eachother when out of coordination. The game is difficult to play solo because of the difficulty scale raising so quickly in the middle floors, by being sheerly outnumbered, while in a group, I take more damage, and am downed more by friends than foes. However, I have had one experience in a group where I had such a fantastic experience, all my gripes don't matter. We went in, and beat the game in one go, no biggy, but it was because we really talked and found a communication system that worked for us, along the lines of, "Get out of the way, I'm power attacking," and then we'd switch out on attacks like that. We had a pretty simple strategy and formation for the whole dungeon, and a loot agreement so we wouldn't fight over loot, or just grab it in front of our friend's face.

To conclude, this game is hell without some talent alone, hell in a group if you can't work together, but oh so worth it if you have a partner (or group) that is competent and cooperative.
