I have to say this is highly impressive! The exterior levels are terrific. I enjoyed the 'ping' mechanic for getting closer to notes. The story was pretty solid but did have a few holes in it. I would have preferred an explanation for the 'guards'. At first I was sucked in with the grounding in reality, but when the guards and other pursuers entered the story it kind of broke the immersion with the introduction of a supernatural element. Maybe it would have been more effective if the player were drugged and it was part of a hallucination. The interior levels were ...ok compared to the exterior. Some of the chase levels seemed a bit rushed compared to the care of the first two and the last two levels. Yes the last two levels are without a doubt among the best looking levels I've seen come from GameGuru. I'm an avid user and literally didn't feel like I was in a GameGuru level. As grand as they were I saw a bit of a missed opportunity; it would have been the perfect spot for some closure or exposition. Instead it was just a looooooong quiet walk through some amazing scenery. I really want to ask did you base the levels on actual locations? The little touches, like two folding chairs in a particularly nice scene really did it justice. It's a great buy and a great representation for GameGuru as a whole.

A pretty solid game. One of the more polished games made with FPSC. The levels weren't very big but each made sense. If the levels were a bit bigger you would have a more epic game here, especially for an indie dev. Lighting was great, and I didn;t encounter any bugs. 100% solid scifi shooter, Would have liked a little more back story but cutscenes were decent useing ingame graphics as not to break the visual emersion. SOme of the voice acting was a little flat, primarily from the protagonist but I did enjoy the heads up when a guard would sense me near. Some custom models would have done this game well but I can't complain too much as what was there was placed well. My final thoughts - bigger and more would make this have a bit more shine. Definitely a grab, especially for the summer steam sale. Remember to support your Indie game creators folks.

I've been useing Shootem up kit for only a short time but wow what I've made has a nice polished look and feel to it. It's extremely easy to use. I see no reason to use any other engine if you want to make a shootem up; that would be like reinventing the wheel. Well done Tall Studios!

One of the easiest game engines to use that is constantly evolving for the better every day. One of the great things about this engine is when I'm done with my game, I can sell it and not owe The Game Creators anything else, unlike Unity and UDK that ask for extreme amounts of money to release a commercial product. Its creators are fully invested in this engine and are constantly improving on its speed and functionality. You can keep track of these changes through the developer's blog which is updated daily! These guys really want you to succeed with this engine and the proof is their willingness to listen to user feedback and return with results. Users actually get to vote on what features are worked on first as well as suggest new features. It's incredibly talented userbase is constantly creating new content that is engine ready in the GGstore for sale and lots for free. It's honestly pretty hard to make something that looks ugly in this engine, unless that's your intent. Those who scoff at this engine simply have not invested enough time in it or haven't even visited the official forums for help on what they want to achieve. Other game types are being worked on all the time in order to venture out of the FPS realm. The third person camera is one of the easiest to implement. I've used many engines in my 20 plus years of game development, and this engine and what it offers (current and to come) is what I've been looking for for a long time.

Great to see the predecessor of bioshock work on modern machines. If you can get past the old graphics you can enjoy the game immensely. A remake would definitely be in order.
