The old classic. Driving my gf nuts with the screensaver and its constant bubbling. 5/5 can recommend

Bought during the first weeks of release despite the steep price. Game was running buttery smooth on a 5yo machine with a 49” screen. Some minor bugs that were mostly amusing. Great experience albeit small map pool.

Cue winter patch. Good interesting blizzard mechanics and snowy maps… and game breaking bugs. Micro stutters, client-induced rubberbanding, all kinds of issues. Seemingly doesn’t matter what level of hardware you have, just see the forums yourself.

They did a hotfix, but despite the feedback kept the broken patch in, and left it in a broken state for one of the longest holidays in year.

Now seeing it in -30% discount really makes me wonder wtf did I pay the premium for while an unplayable game sits in my library.

Cannot recommend the game in current state as even if your machine meets the system requirements, it might not run for you.

One of the most seamless Co-op experiences I've had in years. Imagine Borderlands 2 coop but a tad more fast paced, with the ability to alter the run every time you run it.

Now, this is NOT an open world game. It's a tunnel runner, where at the end (or elsewhere) of each stage you have an option to choose a specific path, if you've managed to unlock it. The whole game can be run start-to-end in less than 45 mins, but the game has a great amount of replayability. I've completed it twice now, with a lot of "going for a quick run with the aim to unlock something" runs, and still got a huge bunch of things to unlock. I've only really played recon, but you have 5 or 6 classes to play as.

A lot of different guns and a lot of silly items that both give and take.

Oh and the soundtrack? It's awesome. The music greatly pumps up the levels.

Wholeheardly recommend the game if you're into FPS and like roguelite mechanics, and the little unlockings that come with it. Heavy recommendation on not looking up things or following guides until you've ran out of things to explore.

I think this is one of the rare "fairly priced for what it is" games, what I also attribute Hollow Knight with. And that is saying something.

They are not wrong. I really liked the gunplay. The meta was mixed up often enough to keep things interesting in WZ. Grinding for unlocks was entertaining.

But slowly, patch after patch...
* Install size bloated.
* After each patch performance went a notch worse.
* Every single patch, no matter how small, forces a new shader optimization. That'd be alright, if it didn't start getting stuck, requiring multiple restarts.

At some point in life you just can't be arsed to sacrifice half of the time you have to play games just to get it to work, week after week after week.

Sure I played over 100 hours, but I wouldn't pay 2e/hour to play this game.
