It’s been nearly a year since PUBG released into Steam Early Access and since I first reviewed this game, so I thought I’d update my review, as it is now heavily outdated.

At the end of my first review for PUBG I said ‘Right now, I'd say the game easily an 8/10, for being a fun, tactical and sometimes even paranoia filled Battle Royale, that is easily the best of it's kind through content alone, and for being one of the most addictive 'Just One more rounds' games I’ve ever played.’ For the most part, I believe this synopsis of PUBG is still accurate, however much has changed since it’s early days in Steam Early Access.
PUBG, as a game, in motion, is still some of the most fun I believe you can have in Multiplayer Gaming in 2018, it’s still slow, clunky and extremely buggy for sure, but is still tense, emotional and as heart racing as ever. BlueHole have released the game out of Early Access, but is still committed to working on the game in 2018 and beyond and have made changes, for better and worse, to some of the game mechanics. Gunplay still has a weight to it, a certain ‘realism’ to how the gun perform, the movement still is clunky as ever, but vaulting adds much needed momentum to the game, and is for the most part pretty seamless, even if getting the right angle to leap through a window is extremely irritating. The game, when it’s working is still a blast to play, but more often than not…it’s not working. Hackers run rampant, and BlueHoles attempts to combat them have been fairly unsuccessful (with the most recent patch having to be reverted due to it causing massive stutter and frame drops), the game is still a buggy mess, with people shooting you at angles that shouldn’t be possible and round corners. The servers seem to be down more than up after patches, it’s a mess at time.
However, a few of my major critiques from my Review from May last year were answered. We got more cosmetics, lots more options for our character to wear, even if BlueHole seems to be going abit overboard with how frequently these are added instead of meaningful content updates. Talking of meaningful content updates let’s talk the ‘new’ map ‘Miramar’.

I think it’s been accepted by much of the community by now Miramar isn’t as strong of a map as Erangel is. For many, it plays too slowly in comparison to Erangel, as PUBG’s original map has many hotspots to drop, such as Pochinki and Military Base, whilst Miramar just doesn’t have these. It feel as if it has less of a ‘lived in’ feel than Erangel and doesn’t feel like it has a much personality to it. Overall, Miramar is a well made map, the gameplay variety compared to Erangel is there, as its much more about positioning on high ground than hiding behind tree’s, but the amount of emptiness on the map, then compared to areas that have massive clutter make it not as enjoyable as PUBG’s original map.
Overall, I still enjoy PUBG, it’s a game that I can still grab a few friends to play and have a blast of a time, but since Fortnite Battle Royale has been thrust into the spotlight, PUBG seems to have gained a rep of being a much worse game than Fortnite, and whilst I believe this is true in some aspects, with Fortnite getting content updates almost weekly whilst PUBG it seems almost bi-monthly, Fortnite has definitely taken the spotlight over PUBG since the beginning of 2018, but I believe these 2 BR games can coexist pretty easily.

If you prefer a more arcadey, accessible BR game with the added bonus of being Free, than Fortnite is right up your alley. But for me, who for this type of game prefers grounded realism and tighter gunplay and what I consider high intensity, I believe PUBG is still the best BR game currently on the market, until a far more polished, optimised but still grounded in reality Battle Royale game releases. For now, PUBG needs to find a way to keep up with Fortnite’s consistent updates, whilst battling it’s infuriating hacker problems and numerous bugs. In its current state (March 2018) I’d say PUBG is a 7/10, but it still offers some of the most memorable moments in gaming you can ever have.

FromSoft easily left the best for last with this DLC. If this is the final piece of Dark Souls content, then it ended on a very high note. This DLC is basically the opposite of Ariandel, as it features 2 spawling areas, well designed enemies who are enjoyable to looked at as they are the fight (The Ringed Knight armor set looks badass), some interesting npc's along with lore implications, lots of cool secrets and some awesome new weapons and armor. My favourite part of this dlc is by far the bosses, with there being 4 this time arounds, with 3 being completely amazing, especially that final boss fight Considering the series has a history of referancing Berserk, quite fitting how the final boss is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Guts, and its awesome. This DLC has rounded off Dark Souls 3 extremely well, and im praying this isn't the last we see of this fantastic series. 10/10.

Review for 'The Steam Awards: 'Villian most in need for a hug'.
I mean, comeon, Senator Armstrong. All this talk of Nanomachines, and all he really want is a hug. Im mean, did you see him embrace Raiden when he agreed with his ideals. 10/10 would hug again.

Whilst short, i enjoyed my time with this DLC. Took me around 3-4 hours to complete. The area here is amongst the best in Dark Souls 3, and being the least linear zone in the game. Some of the enemy designs, especially in the town area, are creative, creepy, and BloodBourne-esque (which is a major upside), especially the one who looks like Edward Scizzorhands with murderous intent. The bosses here are good to, 1 optional, and the main boss. The optional one is fairly lackluster, and the area can be abused heavily against, but that last boss. Oh Man. If you dont use a Summon Sign its 2nd and 3rd phase can destroy you, but even then, only took me 2 tries, but in short, due to that final boss, i'll be appy to replay through this DLC, even if it is lacking PvE content. I haven't played much of the PvP, but what i have played has been fun, tense and fair.
8/10

This was my first full Dark Souls games, as i had only dabbled in the past ones, but this is the one that really gripped me. Suffice to say, my friend who was playing the original Dark Souls at the time would spit abuse at me from time to time like 'Casual' and 'Git Gud'.
However, while this game could be considered the most 'Easy' of the franchise it is probably the most fun. The game has a great 'end of the world vibe' to it and the story and lore this time around is some of the best i've seen in a game, Abyss Watchers anyone.
The reason this game might feel easier, is due to the less stamina rolling takes away. However, i don't know what they did with poise, but the negatives of this game are minor, as the combat is so rewarding and fantastic.
The bosses in this game are memorable for the most part (even those some like Ancient Wyvern won't be remembered in a good light) and look the part especially. However, that doesn't mean they aren't without flaws. My favourite boss are the Abyss Watchers who look awesome, have fantastic lore behind them and are strangely familiar of another fan favourite boss. However, i do feel the bosses health pool could be increased to make the boss the perfect difficulty.
I don't play PvP so i don't care or know any of its issues.
Dark Souls 3 is fantastic, for its PvE experience and the immense lore the game provides, again, don't know much about PvP but i heard it isn't the best of the series.
9.5/10 would 'Git Gud' again.

This is most likely the best game i have ever played. Whilst this game does suffer from performance issues on newer pcs, this game is still a must play for those who are Star Wars fans or fans of the genre. A timeless classic. Also, this game has a murderous pyschopathic robot who calls all biological beings 'Meatbags'. What more could you want?

CS:GO Review
If you are willing to sink the time in and learn the games mechanics, it is by far one of the fps games out at the moments. And for £11.99 it's a must buy.
