I can't recommend this game at all. it's a joke concept that can work at the same level as Goat Simulator. However, unlike Simulator this game is bland and poorly made at best. Poor models with voice over work that's at the same lack luster quality. A gameplay loop that doesn't evolve from the first encounter with Charlie, and nothing more. Say what you will about Goat Simulator being weird for the sake of, it is at least put together and designed with thought (glitches and all). Charles on the other hand feels like it was put together in a single evening and nothing else.

It's a run of the mile idle game. Nothing to wow you but nothing that says it's a 'bad' idler. Would have been neat if there was more to it from an upgrade perspective or something else other then making the numbers go faster but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't buy it again, but I only paid a dollar or two just because so nothing lost.

I didn't last to long with the game before I pulled the refund trigger. It has a cute cartoon visual style, and its quirky nature is nice. I was expending something along the lines of Peggle for gameplay, but instead I got Plinko from Price is Right. I can understand the appeal for the game, but just dropping a token / ball and hoping I have the write bouncers(?) and set up to maximize the points before it falls just isn’t’ fun for me. There doesn’t seem to be anything else to the game other than placing tokens to drop the ball against and hope for the best.

I like what the game wants to be, and it gets close to what it wants to be. The scenarios are fun and seemingly realistic with what we see through the past. Where the game falls for me though, and just tanks it overall is that you are seemingly guessing / hoping for positive outcomes with your actions.

The actions you take don't really provide much detail on pros / cons, let alone any real explanation on what a card will do in the long term. If you look on the forums, it is generally recommend to download an unofficial mod to clean up this lack of information. This is great, and helps fix the issues; but you shouldn't need an unofficial mod to fix some core issues.

I'm about 8 hours in and i'm throwing in the towel. At it's core it's a fun bullet hell game, but the replay mechanics just aren't there for me. I've also had multiple runs end due to bugs and the exit/s not appearing and the timer run out killing my character. I feel like it would be better a mobile game in very short stints then something on desktop due to the short play lengths and what feels like random bugs based on artifacts on the screen.

I'm a fan of turn based games, and enjoy the cyberpunk genre overall. This game though didn't scratch any of my itches. The story was bland enough for me to just skip through the dialogues and the gameplay itself just wasn't fun for my liking. I agree that out of the three in the saga that this is the weakest, and the other two (Hong Kong & Dragonfall) stand on it's shoulders.

I'm a big fan of roguelikes and love the art style of the game. IMO a good roguelike though needs to have a good feedback loop at its core. For me as a player through after a solid 8 hours of effort, that feedback loop just isn't good. There isn't enough variety to support all the RNG found in game. You can't really out skill the RNG enough to tip the scales in your favor, nor do you get a real sense of how much the odds are stacked against your run until a few day cycles into the run.

A good roguelike IMO has that gameplay loop to keep you coming, and enough variety so each run feels a bit different. Deadly Days, once you've played a few rounds and see what happens in the first few days; you've seen the best that game has to offer. Your money is better spent with other roguelikes.

Wasn't a fan of the game. I understand the game is older (2014) but the lack of viable multiplayer and some lackluster design choices for the game itself didn't mesh well with me. I think there are better Rogulites out there for the same price that have better polish.

Not much to say about this, it was a humble purchase and it belongs that way. I'm a fan of bullet hell games, shoot em ups and similar genres so i figured this would scratch that itch and at the end I was disappointed. The audio wasn’t anything impressive, and visually speaking there were enough instances of sprite clipping that I saw it when the game became hectic. As a game its playable, and scratches the surface of 90’s arcade shoot em ups, but misses for me any real enjoyment at the end of the day.

If you don’t have to pay for the game it’s worth a play, but if you are looking to spend some money on that feeling from the arcades back in the day there are better options worth your time.

It reminds mre of old school arcade games back in the day. Doesn't hold your hand with things, will kill you at the drop of a hat and you'll keep going back for me. Losing is really easy, winning is really hard. However whenever you lose, or win you still (or at least should) enjoy the experaince.
