I don't usually make reviews at all for the videogames that i play, however i believe that the current state of Naval action warrants it (and my recommendation regarding if i recommend naval action or not is subject to change in the future if i see reason for it to change).

Over the last 10 years I've played naval action, and initially it looked like a promising game, it had the core features/gameplay, and of course there were bugs and issues, however a lot of those were resolved.

The main gripe at this point in time however is, that the game development has shifted to a different studio altogether (however is being developed by the same initial developer), and in doing so, all of the development from the last 10 years was, simply put, reverted. It really is demoralising to play a game that you believed would be a "breath of fresh air" regarding tall ship combat, or the step-up in game play that you needed after experiencing everything what Napoleon total war offered, would suddenly "burn the house" that you essentially "lived" in so to speak, and then in an slow, micrometer fashion, place each new brick of this figurative house down, as to rebuild it.

To add to the above, there is an obvious communication deficit between developer and players, and no matter how much you love the game, and no matter how much constructive feedback you give to the developer, a majority (except for, maybe a select few) of the comments/feedback about the game, falls on deaf ears. There are many games out there that don't listen to their playerbase either, and there is a reason why their playerbases are shrinking, while other games who listen to their playerbase have actual, meaningful growth. It is not rocket science, this is a fact.

So please, if you guys in the dev team for Naval action sees this review, this is not an attempt to destructively damage your reputation or to bash Naval action. It is a plea of genuine concern from a veteran player who values the game, and hopes to see it thrive as it once did. Naval action still deserves a chance, it's just a question of when.

I know there may be players who see this comment and have a laugh, but this game really did have potential in the beginning, and it still does, however change cannot happen without influence and support, and so i am doing my part to bring about positive change for naval action.....perhaps we might even get to see the North American server again so that my ping can stop being at a constant 300ms (that would be actually fantastic if that were to happen).

Anyway, thanks for reading this, and if you've bought naval action and you're a veteran, don't loose hope!

Hello prospective buyers and existing players, below I've broken down parts of the game into categories to make this review as simple as possible.

Concept:
Great concept, poor execution. Like many games out there that hype you up, this one gives you the typical let down. The game attempts to cram in every little quirk and feature with only the blessing of cheap duck tape to keep it all together. The maps are large and extensive and the different roles only have very little to differentiate between themselves.

If you are/going to be a new player in Dread Hunger:
This game is not new player friendly, and i doubt it ever will be, there's very little that's taught to you, and in regards to the community i doubt anyone would be willing to give you a good, detailed tutorial on how things are done in dread hunger.

If you are an existing player:
For god sakes, if you guys want more players then please get your act together and improve your behaviour, we are here to have fun and to help new players, not to push people away from playing the game.

Note for developers:
'Go big or go home' is not what should be the focus for the game, if the map needs to be made smaller then make the ship class smaller as well, may it be a sloop or corvette, but not a frigate. Cold weather vs crew should be something that can be mitigated to some degree, it is not fun having to full on combat cold weather let alone not have the common sense to hunt a wolf for its fur to keep you warm (with or without durability in regards to the fur coat/poncho). As for finding out who the thralls are, i feel that additional clues should be necessary as the commitment for the crew members to help out one another is low due to the poor community behaviour ( for this i recommend and strong reporting system to weed out any undesirables, and an official message in the official discord in regards to community behaviour).

I know this review is not putting the game in a good light, however i just had a match with some really nasty people and i think this had to be said. I'm not going to allow comments for this review as there are some nasty, toxic pieces of work out there who think cowering behind a screen while harassing someone is "fun" or awarding a comment with a clown face is so called "amusing". Grow up.

Dirge is a game intended for an audience that love a 'resident evil' atmosphere, except instead of zombies, your threat is instead malevolent spirits. The game at the current stage is indeed playable, however as you can see from the store page, the game is in early access. It is true to say that a lot of polishing graphically & task-wise is indeed needed for this game to grow out of its infancy, but for $14.50 AUS, you can get this game and with it, you get a promising development team that stand behind their game, and listen to their players feedback.

Join the discord from the game menu, put a multiplayer group together and have a blast!

If you have any questions or concerns about the game, feel free to comment on this review and ill get back to you.

Just as Phasmophobia and Ghost Exorcism INC. have their unique quirks and features, so does Ghost Exile.

To some this game may seem a copy cat to the other two games mentioned above which may turn you away from the game, however it is games like this which allow you to explore the niche genre even further. The developer of this game has given us the opportunity to explore a different path of this genre.

There are many things which are good about the game, and things which the game can improve on, i'll list the following bellow.

Pro's:
+The game Is in a playable state (It's rough but not too rough)
+There are plenty of houses you can go to, to initiate your ghost exile journey
+You don't have to Exile the ghost to make money/exp (Safe vs. Risky, this can help you save your equipment)
+You can still go around the house after death
+You can play this game with 3 others including yourself
+The experience becomes a lot more fun once you begin the exiling ritual.

Con's
-The Player base is less active than Ghost Exorcism INC. This is due to the fact that the game was only released last month and word of the game has been circulating quite slowly.
-Graphical/resolution error when in server listing ( i run a 2560x1080 monitor so idk if it's only me in this regard) can move sliders for filters on top but the text it just off the screen can only see the bottom of the text.
-Some of the items on the map can get bugged and become unretrievable/unusable, such as: Passport (Used to identify the ghosts name), Ghost exile book (This gets bugged if two people try to pick it up at the same time).
-Have to use the computer every time to ready up (Quality of life issue)
-All menu's need a good overhaul (Quality of life issue)
-You need to be lvl 5 and have $300 to be able to by the ghost exiling book, the tent does not come pre-equipped with the exiling tools, only the investigatory tools in order to get the clues.

So far the game has proven to be quite fun, however sometimes it is difficult to identify the ghost due to the way the book has been setup, but once the ghost is identified, the exiling become incredibly fun for all those who are involved. The jump scares will basically always get you due to the fact that you can never correctly estimate when one will happen.

So, if you are looking to test, and be part of a historic moment of a genre which you love, why not try Ghost Exile?

You think Phasmophobia is too easy for you? Try Ghost Hunters Corp.....you'll ♥♥♥♥ bricks guaranteed.

Make sure to join the Ghost Hunters Corp discord and ask for help as the game has a little bit of a learning curve to it.

Enjoy!

First off, Foxhole is a fun, great top down shooter that gets you involved in many aspects of war such as combat, logistics, intelligence, armoured units, naval units etc etc.

Lets start by naming all of the positives about Foxhole
1.) Unique top down perspective
2.) Large community (Regiments/clans)
3.) There's always something to be done (keeps you busy for hours, even for days!)
4.) Different roles within the war zone such as Naval and land combat, different soldier roles such as machine gunner, medic, Anti-tank, Anti-infantry. etc.
5.) Massive map
6.) Logistical deliveries/runs make good use of kicking back and relaxing as you drive to different delivery drop off zones (Helps if you aren't feeling like combating).

Now for the BUT........

A bit of history first

I used to run a regiment in Foxhole, and i was planning on dedicating a small settlement on the map with a town hall to my regiment and to those who visit it, the initial plan of our very first regiment settlement was to make Diesel, easy to produce with not much hassle, we put up signs stating what vehicles can be used, parking areas and the like and we also put signs which showed the way to our settlement as well as a wholeheartedly placed regimental welcome at the town hall, after almost a few days into our very first regimental settlements/operation we came back to a horrible greifing of our settlement, players had vandalised, mocked, and even destroyed some of the settlement, i was hurt beyond belief that a soldier who was fighting for us was also against us, after this i didn't play the game for over a year, i didn't know and/or had the power to report these greifers.

I was a strong, confident leader, hoping to add some valuable resources and man power to the war effort, but it seems like that some Warden soldiers just blatantly disrespect and mock those who want to be willing, strong leaders.......

And in all sincerity to i have forgotten who they were (those who greifed my regimental fortification/settlement), but i will never forget the actions that those arseholes took to not just damage my regiment and the reputation of my regiment but also to sabotage the war efforts of the Wardens.

And message from me to those saboteurs.....Go ♥♥♥♥ yourselves and never EVER return back to the game....PERIOD.

Some bugs here and there but once this game gets more love (more development), i'm sure that this game will become an incredible even for those who aren't into ghost hunting. Give it a try! ^_^
