short, but excellent. Story, voice acting, characters: top notch. Wish there was more to it though!

gorgeous, fun, replayable. One of the rare good warhammer 40k games

the weapons and strats are satisfying as hell, the gameplay is hectic and fun, and the comedic setting is great.

I'm enjoying it a lot!

Fun little game. I really liked painting with my hands and would love to see more of that. Pretty cool to see hand tracking get this good

A good game, but plagued by performance issues

The good:
- The setting is incredible and hugely detailed. It is really incredible to explore Hogwarts and the surrounds
- combat is surprisingly satisfying, allowing you to come up with meaningful combos to beat specific enemies
- Upgrading gear is fun, and they allow you to set the appearance of any previously acquired gear to your equipment, meaning you no longer need to look stupid because some robes are a few points higher spec

The bad:
- performance. Going from 144fps in simple areas, to 70s, to mid teens in some areas seems like bad design or optimisiation. This is regular enough to seriously mar an otherwise enjoyable game loop. This is with a 3080, 5800X, 32GB Ram at 3600x1600 with DLSS enabled (it's worse without). UPDATE: I FOUND REDUCING TEXTURES FROM ULTRA TO HIGH RESOLVED THIS
- It feels very hand holdy for a long time. I'm 5 hrs in and still feel like I haven't been let off the leash.

Verdict:
£50? No. When they fix the performance it will be worth £40 tops. If you are a massive HP fan then go for it, but don't say I didn't tell you to wait for some patches.

still in beta, but I am really enjoying it. It is rock hard at anything higher than malice difficulty (medium) even with a well levelled character, so if you want a challenge and have a good team together, it will test you.

Exceeded my expectations!

It removes the annoying hit chance of Xcom and adds lots of cool new mechanics, while retaining what made xcom good

story and voice acting are solid, if not breathtaking

upgrades and progression are varied and interesting

gameplay rewards risk, so less tedious creeping from cover to cover and more chaining balls out attacks in a hail mary to kill them before they gain good footing

just a lot of fun.

Want to relive a bit of your childhood while teaching your kid logical thinking skills? Zoombinis is it.

I played this when I was a kid, and I was looking for a game for my 5, nearly 6 year old daughter and stumbled upon this ancient gem on Steam. what's nice is that it scales difficulty based on successful runs, meaning that it has built in replayability as the puzzles change and get harder. She was absolutely fine on the "Not so easy" (easy) and "Oh so hard" (normal) difficulty, but "very hard" (hard) is challenging and "very very hard" (bloody hard) was enough to have me sitting down with a pen and paper scratching my head over some absolutely fiendishly difficult puzzles and still getting stumped

My daughter loves it, and we have had a lot of fun playing it together.

very satisfying guns and fun combat. Beautiful game to look at. Some nice humour thrown in here and there but without trying too hard (looking at you BL3). Challenging at times, but normal is fairly plain sailing once you have the knack

In a nutshell, Necromunda: Hired Gun is Doom meets Titanfall meets 40k

If you like the fast-paced, frenetic gameplay of Doom and the mechanics of picking up health and armour rather than the more forgiving hide and wait to recharge, you'll likely get on with this. I consider myself a fairly seasoned FPS gamer, and on hard I found myself dying fairly regularly until I leant into the auto-sanguinor mechanic of recharging health by killing the ♥♥♥♥ out of everything while trying to shoot more than I get shot. It rewards balls to the wall murder death kill playstyles more than thoughtful tactics, but you'll need both to get through it on hard difficulty.

Looks beautiful and is faithful to the 40k aesthetic, which Streum-On have nailed since Deathwing's otherwise ignominious release.

Doesn't feel quite as polished as a AAA shooter, but if you are a 40k fan hoping that this game meets muster, then I think you can buy with confidence. It's good fun once you get going!
