Genuinely one of the most infuriating places in the hellscape that is reddit. It’s full of pathetic snivelling teenagers with superiority complexes. I’m not exaggerating with the “teenager” remark either; there have been multiple occasions of the people who post there admitting to only being a few years older than the kids they make fun of. They are the embodiment of the stereotypical Redditor.

Practically every time they see a child on the internet do something mildly asinine, they unleash a barrage of hate and needless, unconstructive criticism. You know what a normal, functional adult would do if a child acts stupid or annoying? Just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ignore them. Not post about it on a reddit board to ruthlessly tear apart everything they’ve done in their life, and then circlejerk about it with their like-minded dweebs.

They are unable to detect sarcasm, satire or irony. The straw that broke the camels back was a post I saw about some TikTok comment that’s been reposted a gorillion times. You know, about the Greenland shark older that the US; followed by a comment saying “how can a shark be older than 2023 years old?” I think that’s pretty obviously a joke, no one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ talks like that. I thought I’d see at least 1 person who also thought that, BUT NO. Every single comment was along the lines of “he must be American, he’s so stupid”, “dumbass doesn’t know about BC, r/ wooosh”, and “the US is a failed state”. I was just dumbfounded.

They must hate anything remotely childish because they themselves have only just grown out of that age and must prove they are superior to those children. They have declared war on skibidi toilet; and don’t get me wrong, I heavily dislike skibidi toilet - but who actually gives a ♥♥♥♥? Who actually cares about it, aside from these guys? No one! And that’s what I don’t like about this sub. Not that they “don’t let people enjoy things”, not that they hate kids, but the fact that they make big deals out of nothing just so they can feel better than people younger than them.
