Easy to pick up yet impossible to master. Only 5 minute commitments at a time. Local Co-op. This game has so many things right. I keep coming back even after long breaks. Rocket Car Soccer sounds crazy but trust me, it's exactly what you're looking for! haha.

This game out of Montreal is very fun and satisfying to play. If you can overlook the awful cinematics and lackluster story telling, the game-play is pretty good! A Chapter or "level" consists of 2 phases: daytime strategy planning and night time combat.

During the day you can visit shops in town to buy or upgrade equipment, consumables and stat modifying accessories. As well as plan your strategy to survive the coming night by setting up various traps, zip lines and build combat influencing objects like fires or shrines. Each one consumes daylight hours and sometimes money too, so it's a balance to survive as efficiently as possible in order to further fund your plan. I recommend playing on "hard" though.

At night, you dash around your ever expanding forest territory to defend your friends and their homes from unholy wolf creatures. Combat system is simple and imperfect but still pretty fun. Decently designed skill tree to level through as you gain experience. Also some unique mechanics like wind direction potentially ruining your plan by giving away your scent and the degree to which your enemies fear you needing to be managed.

Also worth mentioning is the soundtrack, one of it's strongest features. Found myself humming all the music and listening to what I learned was Quebec style folk music that I would have otherwise described as "Celtic." Certainly worth the few dollars currently being asked during the sale, 15 to 30 hrs of fun strategy & third person action despite simple graphics.

DOTA has been my favorite game of any kind for over 10 years now. It is simply the most challenging yet rewarding game I have ever played. Played from an RTS style overhead perspective, this game combines RPG leveling and item acquisition/building with extensively varied strategic teamwork potential. Game-play is like that of a board game in that a session will last for 30 to 45 mins on average. Everyone starts off evenly each time and has access to all the same resources. Players devise strategies (ideally together) to overcome the other team using a vast range of potential ability and item combinations. Be warned: the manners of the online community are reputed as among THE least hospitable of any out there. So be ready to mute the miserable people and don't let them ruin your fun.

Great strategic puzzler with fun RPG elements mirroring the campaign style of other more robust Might & Magic titles. Great "heads up" mode for in house 2 player chess style face off play (only one copy needed). Online community has dwindled since release but still fun when matches can be found. Custom game lobbies too. Perfect for short sessions of play on the go, in waiting rooms, planes or when you just want a quick gaming fix.
