Yeah, They cooked with this neo update and QOL Changes over time.

I have played 5 hours at time of review and runs great I have a 3070 and my friend also is playing running fine they have a 4050 on a laptop.

As someone who’s played every Ark DLC — even the buggy, chaotic messes — I can usually still find some fun when I’m with friends. This one, though, just misses the mark. The map has a heavy water focus, which means the cool land dinos don’t see much use. They didn’t add any exciting new aquatic creatures either. The wyvern they introduced is weak both in the water and on land, and the new snake is underwhelming. Honestly, this DLC should have been made for the newer game, Ark: Ascended.

On top of that, it wiped a huge number of community saves and isn’t supported on cluster servers. The only “positive” is that the game is technically playable now… but it’s not actually fun. My friends and I ended up ditching it entirely for a Pixark playthrough instead.

This feels like a cash grab marketed as a “love letter” to the players, but it’s just not worth it.
