"tHeRe'S nO sAvE bUtToN" Yes there is, and its locked. BUT, its a demo people... lol Either way. Stop comparing it to Frost punk, that's a city builder management game. Also, this demo was pretty great. The graphics, the gameplay, and UI I give an 8. Overall, other than having two different menu wheels and not realizing it. There were some bugs but nothing major. Didnt break the game or me. I had a pretty easy time figuring it out. Really looking forward to it!

There may be some cons to this game, but honestly, the pros far out weigh what ever criticisms I have. The game from day one has been a pleasure to play. All of the additions and updates that Render Cube and Toplitz Productions have done make the game feel more like a place to get away than a game. It can be a nice chill game to play and relax. Or, if you tweak the settings, this could be a very difficult survival city builder. Worth every penny. Thanks to the devs for a great game!

I have deleted my first review because it no longer describes the game. Wild West Dynasty has come a long way. Its was long in the tooth when it came out. But since then, the horses have been saddled. The townsfolk have started farms. And the west is looking pretty good. It still has a long, long way to go. Just dont compare it to Medieval Dynasty. And remember that it is still early. Also ignore the price tag. If you can catch it on sale. And you are looking for a western style dynasty game. Then go for it. If I were you I would still wait a bit before purchasing. Watch some current game play. Get an opinion from many different sources. And decide if you are up to making a home in the west. (I still think the price is to high)

Just finished streaming this. Played for a little over 2 hours. I have some issues with the game and some things I don't mind about it. Listed below. I haven't tried multiplayer yet. All this is based on little more than 2 hours of single player game play.

PROS:
Graphics are nice.
Voice Acting is pretty good.
The UI is decent. (Can live with it.)
The sound files are really nice.(all clear and distinguishable)
The mission element is a nice change.
Character Models are pretty good.
Weapons Handling is good.
The aiming for guns seems controlled.
The ATV handling was a bit awkward but still pretty decent.
The animal models look really nice.
Animal sounds are well done it seems.
Having the option to sprint, walk, and jog is a nice feature that I'm happy to see in game.


CONS: (where to start)
SOUND/AUDIO....
The sound is not balanced
UI, Sound SFX, and Voice Volume are completely unlevel.
The Voice Volume all the way up and the SFX volume at 25-30% gets close.
Weather, UI, and normal SFX are so out of wack and there is no setting for it. All of these should be leveled way better or have their own settings.... No excuse for these settings not to.
The grunting sounds only turn down with the master volume. This is a huge problem.
I would like to see an update to the audio adjustments. Give us separate control of UI, Weather, and SFX. Also, player grunts should really be in the voice setting at the very least.

MOVEMENT:
The player movement is awkward at best. If you are climbing on something, and you are high up, don't turn around, you could fall off. You player moves much more than they should for just a step to left or right.
Stopping to pick things up, again, is just awkward at times. Sometimes feels like you have to stop before your character stops. The inability to scroll in or out with camera zoom while sitting/crouching seems odd considering how far we've come. Also I didn't notice a first person view. I think this should also be an option. (If I missed this option, please ignore)

GRAPHICS:
The ability to change setting is almost vital on PC for a number of reasons. I like to slightly adjust things so that I can keep a better quality stream. Some may not have the best PC to run on. While the graphics ran fine for me, I could see this being a huge issue for lower budget PCs and laptops. Only given the option for Resolution and Full Screen mode is non sense in 2021. There really should be options for basic things. Shadows, Sunrays, Motion Blur, etc..

FINAL THOUGHTS:
All in all I still give this game a thumbs up. Because I do like the idea of the missions, the different survival elements(basic as they are early game).
I really do think I can have fun with this game for a few episodes. If this would have been more than a $15USD game, I would have stop at an hour and asked for a refund. For $15USD, it really is pretty good. I will say it is not at all what I expected. I thought full open world,(Knowing there is still a lot of each map I haven't explored) OPEN COUNTRY survival game. But what we got was a country version of Warframe. With all that said, Ill still play it out and see where the missions and story goes. I can only hope, at the very least, the devs add some audio options. Its a great idea of a game. Full stream will be added to my steam profile.

So..... I feel like a lot of early access games are released to soon, this one included. But, since its out and I have played it. I will say I see this being some fun in the future. I know the bugs are frustrating, and I know that at the moment not being able to craft rope makes playing as a human basically unplayable. I was having issues with the bear only being able to eat once. After that the animation wouldn't even happen. Couldn't figure out how to sleep exactly so that was out of the question. The wolf seemed was as fun as the bear to run around with but had the same problem with eating. I do not want to give it a "Yes" or "No" at the moment, because there's not enough info at the moment. Make of that what you will. But I am putting "Yes" due to steam requiring an up or down vote.

I would say wait for the fix for the basics before buying. I own it, I do not plan on bad mouthing the game. I just want to share what I experienced while playing. If you want a game that you can express your creativity to the fullest, this is it. Although, not all the parts line up just perfect, be creative and find a way to work it out! Paint, tile, siding, full rehabs or a small repair jobs. If you have the ability, you can create something you are proud of. Not only that, but make some money in game!

(EDIT Nov. 28,2019) Well, the game has come to full release for steam! And its pretty close to what I had imagined it would be. Keeping the charm of Redberry while adding to the world around us. The game delivers us the life and farming experience of a small town. There is plenty to do around Redberry. Think you'll spend all of your time in the field? You'd be wrong. Take a break form the tractor. Grab a coffee. Go fishing. Help a neighbor. Find a wife! Fix a building. Drone racing. And so much more. If you are on steam, there is so much to do, you will get lost for hours. Enjoy and happy farming!







(EDITED 02/19/18)When I saw Daggerwin playing this, I thought to my self, what a great idea for a simulator. After playing a few hours, and through the DMCA taken down crap, on the game, I can honestly say, this being EA , it is still a fantastic idea of a game. The game play is enjoyable. Do not get in a rush. And don't expect to get rich quick. There's no creative mode for this game. I am absolutely happy with my purchase. That being said. Others are having trouble starting the game. It could be anything. It has just released so if you read negative reviews remember to check the time stamp on them. If there has been an update fixing the bug causing the game not to start, not everyone will come back and edit their review. Also if you have a wheel or controller plugged in, be sure to unplug them before starting the game.

PROS
- Farm, fish, get married, and help your community.
-Lots of updates in the past 3 months!
-Great game concept
- Graphics are very good from my perspective
- Seems to have plenty to do for early access
- the farming aspect is not the only task in game
- lots of map to explore
- Future updates to bring more (hopefully)

CONS
- Still some bugs in the game. But, for me not game breaking.
- There is a bit of a memory leak it feels like (maybe its just my dying computer) :(
- It is not a complete game

REMEMBER
- This is an early access game. If you do not want a buggy or unfinished product, wait a week or so. There's no need to rush into a game only to hate it for being what IS ADVETISED to you. Let's be grown folks about this (or for some of you, at least try) I hear they are planning to be out of early access by Feb 2018. If that changes don't go cusing the devs. or would you rather have antoher " No Man's Lie" situation? No, no body wants that. Either way, I hope this review has helped you in some way. Awesome! That's all I can say. They took a great FarmSim 15 and improved it. I love the game! I have over 170 hours in it so far and am playing it right now. I also have many videos out on youtube about it and many more to come! I would 100% reccomend it! 5/5 in my opinion!

In a short Let's play I've started, I found the short amount of gameplay I've had to be a great time! I understand how some people have gotten use to the idea of a meter for everything. Health, warmth, fuel, water, food, etc. But if you give thought to the idea of guages being stuck due to the tempature and the fact that it does prompt you to refill or reload, This game play is great! I love the Idea of the story and the way the it's written. It seems like a simple enough concept. But the weather has other ideas. Stay warm or die trying! If you play the game that you bought and not the game you wanted to buy, you will enjoy this game! Also I have to agree with JD Hero, this game does seem very much like the game play style of The Long Dark. But that being said, I still would buy this game again.
