I have never come across a game so hell-bent on sucking the joy out of players' experiences like War Thunder. What could have been an enjoyable combat simulator quickly devolves into a mind-numbing grindfest that only serves to line the developers' pockets. Dark Souls can happily scare the crap out of you in broad daylight, with something as simple as a giant insect dive-bombing your head as you cross a narrow walkway.
