This game is so much fun, taking on waves of chaos and Tyranid forces alongside brothers of the imperium has opened my eyes to a whole new universe. This one game has me looking into more lore than anything else before.

The story is really good imo, but this is coming from someone who didn’t play the previous game or have any understanding of the warhammer universe prior to playing. It was a little short, but I did also get to the last mission in my first sitting so take that with a pinch of salt.

The operations, siege mode and stratagems are quite fun especially with friends and has plenty of progression to work towards. I must admit though, after looking into the lore I REALLY want to fight the Necrons, that being said I don’t know if there is a lore standpoint that provides reason as to their absence.

I’ve only played a little of PvP, there aren’t too many game modes but it seems pretty fun so far.

Don’t really have any complaints if I’m honest. I think the option for more than 3 players would be nice but that’s just because I have friends on console and they can’t use the Astartes Overhaul mod.

TLDR: Yes, For the Emperor

For some reason this games runs more consistently on a steam deck than it does on my RTX 3060

Other than that, this game is amazing.

I waited until this game was in a better state before playing. Now that 2.0 is here I finally came back to play the game and it is SO MUCH FUN. Still a little buggy at times but nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

I just finished my first play through and I'm very happy with what I got. This game is absolutely worth playing and I look forward to playing the game again + DLC :)

This game is a sheer fraction of what made the original so great, I wouldn't recommend it to fans or the series or players looking for a new zombie game. Dying Light 2 is genuinely so boring and lacklustre, with it being the only game installed on my steam deck for months I still couldn't bring myself to finish this dumpster fire. This game was a train-wreck on release and in fairness, had some updates that could've redeemed the game to a degree, right up until they said ♥♥♥♥ you and jammed the game full with micro transactions, and not even good ones at that. Essentially just a big middle finger to whatever following this game had.

The story behind this game is brain numbing compared to DL1, the characters, combat, exploration and pretty much everything else about the original was so much better.

I would not recommend this game even if you received it for free. If you did, tick the option for the buyer to refund the game and tell them to get their money back.

Would genuinely rather play BF2042.

Edit 2025: I've let this game fester for a few years before coming back to give it a go. Jesus christ I've never seen anything like the monetisation in this game, it is genuinely a monstrosity. The customisation is the worst I have ever seen in literally any game ever, games that have 0 customisation have better customisation than this game. I am genuinely shocked that I don't have to fork out $20 to uninstall.

After all this time, I still cannot possibly recommend this game. If you're a long-time Halo fan, just stick with the Master Chief Collection. If you're new to the series, I still wouldn't recommend this game unless you're brain dead and throw your money at anything that asks for it.

Updates for this game are stale and boring, most of the time just a means of pushing a new pass or other micro transactions. They're somehow making it worse than CoD which says a lot.

TL;DR
I would STILL rather play BF2042 even after giving this game a couple years to do... whatever it is you would call their development process.

Queues are an ever decreasing problem with the game, ignore reviews that just meme the wait time to log in.
This game absolutely slaps, there is so much to do and the combat feels great without being too complex to understand.
