Crashes constantly. There are no real error reports. My PC was not that bad (RTX 5070Ti, Ryzen 5 5600X, 32GB 4000MHz RAM), but it still felt kind of laggy. Also I am not a big fan of DLSS. Just try to optimize a game for once. That ain't a MH specific issue though, rather an issue throughout all genres

It's been a few years out but it did age very well, compared to other titles. The graphic is still good nowadays for an RTS-Game.

I didn't care much about the campaign and just rushed trhough it. The core strength of the game is in the multiplayer skirmishes (pve or pvp). It's a blast trying different nations and strategies. Compared to COH1 I really endorse the variety of commanders you have. It just buggers me that they are more or less paywalled. After about 600 hours I saved enough money to buy 3-4 commanders in total. Each nation has 6-15...

Just like everybody I then opted for a cheap key to get those missing commanders for around 8€.

However, I believe the gameplay is very polished. Troops each have their own prupose, strength and weakness. The buildings are often destructible and especially if you are playing on a city map and bombard the ♥♥♥♥ out of the enemy the scenery and immersion combined with the (in my opinion) very good sound and ambience is just superb.

Furthermore I really like this part the most. COH1 is in my view to narrow (e.g. lack of commander's variety) and COH3... It's COH3 and it feels like they took the bad parts from both prior titles.

On a further note I also tried running it under my Arch-Linux distribution and it worked out of the box with native support.
However, I highly disencourage doing this, because not only did I encounter issues performance wise, but I also faced issues to start the game since my display had a refresh rate of 240Hz. This can be worked around by limiting the refresh rate to a lower amount 60-144Hz for example.

Nonetheless there is an additional issue. Linux users have their own servers, so you can't crossplay with windows users, and at the time I looked only 2 lobbies with 1 person each in it was being hosted.

So I then used proton to simulate the Windows version and despite the refresh-rate thingy it did very well and the performance was at an alltime high.

I adore this game so much. It's so much fun roleplaying as a State, purging all other species or encouraging everyone in the galaxy to maintain peace. There is so much to do in plenty different ways and with the DLC's it's even more fun.

Stellaris may suffered from the Paradox DLC policy but that's no more, since they fixxed those problems.

All in all a game i would recommend to everyone liking one of Paradox' Games like HOI, CK, Victoria or EU

I know that you somehow need to balance a game, but the BIAS for russian or allied vehicles in generell is too high...
If a Type3 Chi-Nu tank is not able to penetrate a M10 (Wolverine) within a range of less than half a meter there clearly is a lack of realism.
(By the way at a range of 100m the Chi-Nu can penetrate 90mm effective armor so at half a meter it should be around 110mm i guess. The M10's 55mm sloped frontarmor (less than 90mm effective Armor) could not be penetrated at all.)

Furthermore, you'll be likely to face many tanks literally outclassing all of yours.
I can't remember when it was the last time i played against tanks on my actual battlerating (BR).
My tank setup was at BR 2,5 to 3,3 and for 5 rounds in a row i only faced enemy's setups with a BR starting at 3,7 - 4,5.

However, if you are skilled in those games you might can experience joy playing it, since it is plenty fun to see all the vehicles explode (if you are able to penetrate them).
The graphics are (at how i perceive them) excellent and you can even play the game on low-budget PC-systems if you throttle the graphic-settings.

I am not able to evaluate the naval gameplay because i only played approximately 20 hours on that theatre of war but they seem to be fun and unlike other naval warfare games like "World of Warships" the batlles are faster and more dynamic.
