The graphics were beautiful, the idea was great, but the story was so terribly executed that after it threw the first fifty details about the world I realized I was a bird exploring mountain after mountain of a wild goose chase to find something that I had no idea what it was for or why I wanted it, I had no idea why I was there and who the people there with me were, and I couldn't make sense of the story the scrolls were giving me because the scrolls were in disorganized locations and used a variation of the English lexicon so disorienting and jumbled that Nathaniel Hawthorne wouldn't be able to understand it. In addition, the story was like Dark Souls in the lack of handholding, but if the Dark Souls creators thought a tribal children's story was a good plot idea. I'm sure the game gets better at some point, but really? Half of the syllables used in the game are barely pronounceable in English.
