when it works it is great. Problem is it does not work a lot of the time. I have been pulling my hair out for the past three days with this thing.

Constant updates. doesnt seem to be one of those games that will abandoned so thats good especially in sea of early access games that do.

Gameplay is pretty decent. game is pretty demanding hardware wise. I am running an radeon 5700 with a ryzen 3600 cpu on high and get about 50 fps plus or minus 20 depending on whats going on.
It is an unreal engine game so it isnt the best looking but it is pretty good. somewhere between gta 4 and 5.

laying track is tedious but once you get a handle on the foibles it isnt hard. Just takes a long time.

All in all its worth the 30 bucks. Especially with the promised expansions and updates of new locos and rolling stock. If you are familiar with the D&RG narrow guage that is what this game is based on.

Absolutely recommend. I cant fault the devs at all they are active and still producing new content that is worthwhile and rich,

This gamewas released almost a decade ago. have they fixed bugs and glitches? no. no they have not. Are they doing anything meaningful to get rid of modders who god mode and just kill people? no. no they are not.

When the game works properly and there are no modders, its fun. heck some modders are allright and only use thier menus to affect the weather or other things. but that is rare. every single lobby has at least one modder compensating for the lack of parental love they received as a child. it just isnt fun anymore.

its nice, works great miles better than fsx graphics and flight model wise. but... scenery. i mean even fsx had bridge models that kinda looked like the real thing, and accurately represented landmarks, like the golden gate. here the golden gate is just another generic bridge. i cant do that. i fly primarily vfr, and use landmarks to navigate, something i could do fairly easily in fsx, but is impossible here. i fly sims because i like to imagine im flying over an area irl, and the generic models ruin it.

the feels bro. remeber those old books that had choices in them and depending on which choice you made determined which page youd go to? and you could read it like ten times in a row and itd never be the same? think that but in videogame format.

bought game. downloaded. installed. updated all drivers just cause it said i should. 3 hours later finally load game. and what does it tell me? oh. no. you cant play unless you buy wild run too. ♥♥♥♥ you ubisoft.
