All I can say is WOW ! ! ! I'm reliving my childhood dreams of when he released another game that was very dear to my heart.

Brighter Shores is an absolute triumph, fully immersing you in the world of Adothria in ways few games can. From the very start, it feels like a living, breathing tabletop D&D adventure, and a use case that I can only dream about is this on the Apple VR headset. (Andrew, please make this happen!)

The game is packed to the gills with content; much of it dynamic and modular, which goes a long way in providing a constantly evolving experience. The current state of combat is all about accessibility: designed to avoid the usual grindfest of hundreds of hours just to make your way through more difficult story content. Refreshing, really, and I am excited to see how it will continue to evolve.

Another major highlight is the professions system that is just so full of depth and variance outside of most games' "one-and-done" setup. You can really dive in and tailor it to your liking, giving meaning to each profession in its own way.

Although the co-op content is a bit sparse, I really don't think this condition will last. With Andrew, it's easy to tell he loves working on Brighter Shores. Every update, every communication just oozes that passion. It is great to see someone who is transparent and serious about the community that plays his games-even known to jump in at 3 AM to patch issues the moment they arise. It seems we are in for a constant, exciting future of updates and expansions with him.

Anyway, thanks for dedicating yourself to this game, Andrew. Brighter Shores is already something special, and quite frankly, I just can't wait to see where you take us next.

Game is too intense on CPU/GPU. Honestly is a shame since it's such a beautiful game, maybe they will have things fixed when Ark 2 comes around in terms of graphical intensity.

Ok let's begin:

- I am on a valve index

PROS:
- The concept of the game is really fun, it's literally [left 4 dead, cod zombies, minecraft] combined together into an morbidly interesting zombie shooter.
- Weapons all feel unique and all have their pros and cons, they aren't entirely balanced but they are for the most part, you're really supposed to upgrade your weapons to something more stronger like the laser gun.
- Simple, easy to learn, nothing too difficult about the game.
- Easily something you could get a friend or two to do with you for an hour and enjoy yourselves.

CONS:
- The game does feel a bit buggy, I would constantly see my friend bouncing up and down in the elevator, or just in general being all weird/messed around, seems there's a lot of network code improvement to be done.
- The game itself feels.. laggy? I am not sure how to put it, but it feels like you're at 90hz or the game is stuck at 90hz or something, and I know it's not my system (8700k + RTX FE 3080), as once I switched to the steamvr home screen/the pavilion everything seemed 100x smoother, and what's worse is that once I took the headset off life felt weird because it was too smooth as well.
- Little people playing (But it's early access so this doesn't really count)

Overall the game is a solid 4/5, and I would most def recommend it to anyone who wants a fun simple zombie shooter that feels like minecraft and left 4 dead had a baby.

Let me first begin with saying that I am playing on a Valve Index, so that may be the reason for such a bad review, I am unsure.

It seems that whenever I attempt to steady(grab with both hands) weapons that the left hand never wants to grab the weapon(even with having the hand literally right on the weapon).

There's quite a few other issues, but this is probably the primary one which makes the game almost unplayable for me. I've been playing Contractors instead which I have no issue on (with grabbing the weapon with both hands). While Pavlov has more unique maps and unique things going on with it -- it's playability sucks badly.

This game is very fast pace, honestly requires a bit of space to play (But if you're doing VR you should honestly have space in the first place) very fun as well, has index full finger tracking available as well.

This is currently my favorite VR game, I am excited to see what the future has in store, maybe 2v2's or 4v4's? That would be interesting and make this my top VR game.

Honestly,

I regret not buying this game when it first released. This has been extremely fun, and I've put in almost 30 hours over the last week. I don't so much care for the rust style gameplay, (Maybe it's just that it's built in Unreal?) However I love the dino aspect of everything, not too fond of the advanced technology, but otherwise everything else in the game is fun, challenging, and most of all exciting.

Dark, unforgiving, and brutally challenging, 10/10 would recommend any day.
