Although this review is premature, I have a strong urge to write about this game before my thoughts are lost. There is a unique quality of games like these, Bennett Foddy understood the emotional bearing of Getting Over It , a difficult game that can see you lose progress that you have overcome great hardship to gain in a matter of seconds. The game's tone and atmosphere demonstrates an understanding of how the player feels as they play. Pogostuck amplifies the time aspect of the emotional intensity of the foddian game genre. It may take you hours to progress through just percentages of the map. After losing this progress, over and over until you're repeating sections for the 10th, 20th and 50th times, the mind begins to wander off of which key to press next and where to go. Grinding through can be done by the body, and the mind is left contemplating. Why am I playing this game? What drives me to push forward? What does challenge mean to me? What reward will I feel at the top of this mountain? Why do we do difficult things? The lonely, melancholic moments of this game spent listening to the player's choice of music provide a profound connection to difficulty, emotion, and time. Things seem to slow down. In summary, the bold difficulty of this game and time commitment required provides an unlikely connection to feelings and deep thoughts, despite the goofy appearance. If you can endure Pogostuck , you've thoroughly earned my respect.

Again, this review is being written whilst i've only completed half of the first map. I intend to rewrite once I've beat at least the first map.

This game nails a cyberpunk aesthetic with dialogue that's straight to the point without being stupid. The chaotic gameplay compliments it's fanatical writing. If you like Hades and enjoy themes of technology, rebellion, anti-late-stage-capitalism and characters who define what it means to be punk, play Ruiner.

Terraria Review
Terraria is a modern classic which speaks to the ability of the indy dev to far exceed the work of AAA devs backed by millions of dollars. The game has replayability that never bores, especially with the amazing tmodloader which brings infinite new content from the community that continues to entertain. Terraria has been an incredible game and the developers continue to pour love and creativity in to the gamespace (despite the fact that the last update was supposed to be years ago).

Who's it for?
I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys games like Minecraft [/i], especially modded Minecraft . Terraria is often called "2d Minecraft", but Terraria's spectacular progression system has pushed it leagues above Minecraft in certain aspects. Terraria piques the interest of the creative soul as well, including hundreds of different things to build with, with tasteful additions that allow truly wonderful builds despite the "restriction" of only two dimensions.

Community and Modding
The spectacular creativity of the Terraria community is the beating heart of this game, and I would implore anyone who enjoys this game to play through modded versions, like Calamity, Fargo's mod, or Thorium, which often are so refined that they can double (or greatly expand) the game's content, with incredibly in-depth detail and lore.

In conclusion:
Overall, Terraria would be worth purchasing at a price of $80, but is generously offered at $12.99 CAD, and goes on sale occaisonally. I have poured many hundreds (probably somewhere in the range of 1000+) hours in to Terraria across multiple different platforms for a reason.

Great game if you can form a trio. Engaging like no other, It's almost like nothing else exists in the world when you're in one of these fast paced, exciting matches.

This game is good for its price, however vampire survivors outclasses it a decent amount for the same price. This game will probably get better with more developing though
