A great game with great devs who fostered a great community, that are all actively being screwed over by their publisher. Sony has tried to push mandatory PSN accounts to play, but walked that back when the public outcry was loud-- But it was smoke and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mirrors. Sony kept purchase of the game restricted for 177 countries in the world, lining up EXACTLY with the countries that cannot gain access to PSN services... and just today doubled down by increasing said number to 180.

What crack are the executives on to think that banning an extremely popular game from all but FIFTEEN countries in the world is a good economic decision? Are they purposely shooting themselves in the foot so they have the excuse to pull a Microsoft and take a good studio out back to cut costs? We might never know, but until Sony walks it back my review will remain negative. They're going to kill what could've been an extremely valuable IP for them, and the blood won't be on the community's hands, the devs' hands, or the community managers' hands. It'll be solely on the executives at Sony.

I don't normally review games, and to be honest-- I'm not good at it. Nonetheless, I honestly felt I had to give this game a review just to express my experiences with it.

Finding out about it just today, 2 days after its release due to Nintendo having dropped a trailer for the switch port, I found the artstyle intriguing and reminiscent of games like Mother 3-- The Mother/Earthbound Series has had major influence on modern RPGs, and I can see a fair bit in this game myself. It's a short and sweet game, with great humorous moments and it made me cry multiple times throughout it. Honestly, a certain segment in the second half was one of the funniest parts of the game just because of it derailing the story for a bit in a humorous way.

Having released on console and PC, I feel like the game will very well reach a good audience, and I sincerely hope it does. It's one of those games that, if it has the chance and exposure, could very well end up a classic. Just might want to put a notice that the game isn't responsible for any onion-cutting ninjas in your vicinity.

Decent game, I enjoy it. Would be a lot better if I could actually play online, but alas because I have an AMD CPU I'm ♥♥♥♥ out of luck. I'd recommend the game if it weren't for this issue. Please fix this.

A fun, addicting game. It is really fun, but it requires a lot of time and grinding for a lot of stuff. Other than that, the gameplay is really inclusive; You can decide what class to be, and change which one you are in a moment's notice (That is, if you have the class unlocked). You can get tons of wacky and/or cool gear, mounts, decorations, etcetera. The only problem I have with it, besides being grindy, is the small bouts of server lag it's been known to get. I don't know if it's been resolved as of late, as I was on a road trip for a month, but at the time it was a tad annoying, although you could still play during it.
