The idea is great, the actual game is alright.

First up I didn't mind the hood being on as it added to the immersion but thankfully the game has been updated so you can turn that off if it annoys you.

The only section I found of the game to be scary was the schoolteacher, that actually kicked the adrenaline into gear.

But as the game has no jump, which I'm surprised doesn't seem to annoy people more than your character wearing a hood, the gameplay is simplified af.

It's also very short. (2.6 hours for me, felt like a demo.)

The first few areas just feel like dead corridors with no decoration except the same ladder asset repeated.

But then you get into areas that feel more like the game, like the school area and the train which do a really good job of replicating the game.

It's a shame it's all for this annoyingly simple game that really ignores any mechanics you'd recognise from little nightmares.

You can only open the doors you need to to progress, and they either open automatically. or you open them by spinning a lever.

So no you won't be grabbing any doors by the door handle to open them like in the original, remember the game has no jump. So it just feels like a Little Nightmares walking sim with the only real gameplay being stealth sections.

Idk man if you're gonna make a VR LN game, actually make a VR LN game where you carry over as much of the gameplay from the original as you can.

Arkham Shadows did it.

And actually make a lengthy game with variations on the gameplay aside from walk section, stealth section, walk section, stealth section rinse and repeat.

This game is nothing like an MMO.
I don't know what these recent mixed reviews are smoking.

The open world is meticulously designed for immersion.
I suppose tiktok brains can't deal with that.

The game is just difficult and will be more appreciated by the patient.

Game far exceeded my expectations and ended up not putting it down for the whole day i bought it.
Not having crafting makes loot alot more streamlined than Arc as everything you pickup has value and you aren't looting a bunch of items you need to use between raids, spending more time in the stash than the game to craft weapons, gear, etc.

Only real negative is performance. Generally the game is buttery smooth for me but certain loot areas, especially during storms, will drop my fps by 10-20 consistently until I leave the area but the weird thing is sometimes it doesn't happen and I can go through these areas with no issue.
I assume it's a bug or something and hope the devs will patch it up asap.

People who don't understand this game is a WIP.

It's far better than SG1. Anyone who disagrees is genuinely stupid ngl.

Honestly more fun than COD and Battlefield atm and an interesting mix of the two. Has really polished and punchy gunplay with fast movement being locked to the assault class (yes there's oldschool BF classes again) and it just feels tactical and strategic like COD wishes it could. First game that actually feels like a COD killer without being hyped up to be one.
All the people pretending theirs a tonne of cheaters are really just tryna cope with the skill gap between Chinese and Western players.

Best fighting game I've ever played, even tops my all time fave Budokai 3 so impressed to say the least. Also the art style is awesome.

Just buy Contractors instead at this point. This game was peak dont get me wrong but now it's hard to find a match. Contractors runs better, looks better, has smoother gameplay, and the mods are way more in depth and there's far more people playing them. It honestly just replaces this game in every way.

Look I love this game but I stopped playing it because it's terribly optimized. It runs like sh!t even on a good pc. I only don't recommend it because I just can't until it's more polished. If you have a beefy pc, get it it's a fantastic game but otherwise don't unless you can deal with constant stutters.

The game is amazing. And there are buggerall cheaters the other players are just insanely good as theyve been playing this for years and new players would rather blame hacks than admit they need to git gud.
