As of right now, this game has "Mixed" reviews on Steam. Posting this to help give it back the rating it deserves.

Anyways...

I'm not the first to say it, but this game isn't for everyone. It's hard. It'll ♥♥♥♥ you over. Sometimes it feels like there's nothing you can do, and you just get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over by RNG.

This is all true.

But let me tell you, there's nothing that feels better than barely squeezing through in those rough moments. Whenever you score a crit, your hero gains a Virtue, your favorite hero barely holds on at Death's Door. The success is addictive. A moment of valor shines brightest against a backdrop of despair.

Victory is fleeting. But it's possible. Lose. Learn. Repeat. Eventually you will find there is a method to the game's madness. And that just pushes you further.

Very rarely do I find a gam ethat keeps me as engaged as Darkest Dungeon. Everything about the game is teeming with atmosphere. This game is fantastic. Couldn't recommend it enough.

You know those games that you want to talk to your friends about why it's so great but you just can't without giving away what it is that makes it so incredible in the first place?

Well, this is one of those games.

Play it.

While I still prefer Bastion, I do believe that Transistor is a better game.

And if somebody is willing to admit that one game is better than their favorite game of all time, well, that means you should look into it.

This game looks, sounds, and feels amazing. The visuals are gorgeous, soundtrack is once again blown out of the water by Darren Korb (though I still prefer Bastion's OST :P), and the gameplay is so incredibly unique that the best way to explain it is to just tell you to try it out for yourself.

This game really is something special. Supergiant somehow managed to outdo themselves...

So what does that mean?

That means you should play this game.

No other game has made me cry even remotely close to the amount that this game has. Yeah, not even Undertale.

It's not my favorite game of all time, sure, but the story it tells truly is so special.

This little gem will always hold a special place in my heart.

Always.

I highly recommend this one, just make sure come prepared. I guarantee you that you're not coming outta this one without at least a few tears.

I'm usually not a fan of platformer games at all, which is why I was so suprised at how much I enjoyed this game.

If you're somebody like me who's played Undertale before, you can sense a lot of inspiration from that game came from here.

And with good reason, too. This game does a phenomenal job of just about everything, especially for being a platformer. It's incredible.

If you don't want to spend the $15, I'd HIGHLY recommend you go play the original version, which is available for free.

Seriously. Go do it. It's great.
