First Souls-like game and I am having a blast. The creature and boss design has so far been top-notch. The world is beautiful in a stark and disturbing way. The NPCs that interact with the player are mostly compelling. The only complaint I have is the lack of interesting light armor choices.

The developer has no idea what they want this game to be and no qualms with letting cheaters run unchecked for too long. The economy is dead. Systems are out of balance and change regularly. Its easier to make gold before endgame than at 60. Everything is devalued to nearly nothing. I wanted this game to work and invested the time to position my character to thrive. Now I am uninstalling.

This is an outstanding little game. Playing Astroneer for the first time last night reminded me of my first days in Minecraft in 2011. Please, remember this is an early access product and things are not perfect... but they are very fun and the discovery is amazing.

For an example, I spent hours in a cave system making tethers to try and find the end. As I was digging down to extract Aluminum ore, I nearly fell into a completely different section of the cave system, which would have guaranteed my death. The atmosphere in the cave and the sense of discovery and danger are just perfect.

10/10. will play for a long, long time.

If you enjoy the art style and humor of the Borderlands franchise then you will enjoy Tales from the Borderlands.

Pros: Very funny at times. Excellent franchise callbacks. Amazing voice work.
Cons: Too easy to guess the plot twists. Story is a bit too linear for my tastes. Telltales' "action" or quicktime moments feel forced in many places.

TLDR: @ ten bucks this is a must buy for any ex-Borderlands player.

Excellent game is you have friends kind enough and patient enough to hold your hand through the first two to four hours. Unfortunately, now that the expansion is out some of the basic gameplay of the standard version (smuggling missions and long distance space trucking) has been nerfed and, outside of mindlessly farming bounties in resource extraction areas, money is now much harder to come by for new players.
