Early Access Review
I'm only playing this casually right now but as a free to play game and as someone who loves D&D I think this is an excellent game. Matches are fast and both the PVE and PVP is fun, albeit a little brutal. Unfortunately a lot of sweatier people that have been playing for far longer that come in geared meaning the match ups aren't great but with all the different match types and gear score dividers it alleviates the pain slightly. Only issue I have is 'why am I doing this' but that's something I got with all extraction games, at least the games are fast so it doesn't feel like I'm wasting my time.

Great action game with an intriguing narrative and no manipulative microtransactions or sacrificing of quality for profit.

- Early Access style of release to bait players
- Horrific Optimisation
- Buggy
- Purposely Grindy
- Purposely Slow Progression
- Incomplete Systems

Releases with a microtransaction bugless cosmetic shop with locked off content.

I would elaborate but I'm too disgusted. I enjoyed Vermintide and to an extent I enjoyed Darktide, both beautiful games representing a gorgeous setting. I won't be buying any products from Fatshark for the foreseeable future and unless you enjoy being nickled and dimed with grindy progression so you'll pay for customisation, you shouldn't either.

Not since the original Dark Souls has a game of this genre sincerely captivated me. The game feels smooth and the combat feels sharp, the difficulty is in a right place in that it's easier than Dark Souls but still challenging (there are also difficulty settings to make it harder).

The graphics and art style are amazing imo, I feel really immersed whilst playing the gamer. The only issues I have are that some bosses are either too easy or too hard (Last boss is too easy, then there was this boss called The Risen that I couldn't beat and just gave up against git gud). The second issue I have is the lack of loot, the current available guns, mods, and armor types are nice and mix matching them is fun but I feel it'll only be a certain amount of time before I'll need more loot for this game to captivate me considering how short the campaign is.

Having played DOS2 and POE1/2, this is the current modern crpg that has captured my heart. Harkening back to Baldur's Gate, this is one of the few games that really captures the feel of D&D or (cough) Pathfinder in a video game. No longer bugged plagued as it was originally, this game is amazingly indepth with hundreds of hours of content and replayability.

In fact, as of this review with 272 hours, I've only managed to complete about 1/3rd (I believe) or perhaps less of the entire game's main storyline.

Hundreds of hours of customization, replayability, and a fun campaign makes this a perfect game for any gamers looking for a true to heart RPGTabletop experience or seeking D&D/Pathfinder in a video game. (Also this game has mods <3, most enjoyable is the turn based mod to truly turn this into a D&D/Pathfinder game)

MODS--
Recommended mods in order to streamline portions of the game that some people will find tedious (such as myself).

If you're fickle with your character choices and often reroll get the Respec mod.

If you dislike the kingdom management or feel stressed by it (me) get Kingdom Management.

If you like fashion (like me) get Visual Adjustments for better player control of appearances.

If you want traditional tabletop feel (sort of) or a slower paced game get Turnbased (works suprisingly well despite not being designed for game balance.
