Its Project Diva for the PC. Not much more, not much less, however this is still a good deal. With the DLC pack, this is pretty much a compilation of a decent number of songs (but not all of them) that Project Diva has had to this point.

Overall the game plays well, no issues hitting the 60fps cap. There are the occasional lag spikes (Once per ~25 songs for me), which before the patch desynced everything, but now also seem to desync on screen visuals.

Honestly the worst point thing is that the songs are definitely becoming quite outdated, I think I can point to about 20ish songs that are "newer", (and out of 250 songs, that is not a lot) but overall I like the selection that is in this package, bringing back at least most of the good songs from previous titles.

This is a really cute game, featuring one of the best adult couples (gay or otherwise) that I know of. The two protagonists are practically acting like a married couple. They will have fights, but they talk things out. They will flirt with each other, but not every talk is flirty. (Though there are definitely times where you can steer conversations to that direction.) They aren't squeamish about sex, they embrace it as if it is normal. I just love that this relationship feels very real, which is very rare for video games.

The music is very chill, somewhat low-fi, somewhat house, but very unique. It has about 1 and a half hours of this stuff for a 8-15 hour game. The game is also fully voice acted, and as of the last update, also includes 2 other couples which are fully voice acted as well.

Gameplay wise, this game is fairly simple, but it does go through the paces of making things a little tougher. Though, for me, it kinda got easier towards the end. That may be because of a very OP healing ability, if you figure out how to abuse it. It can be a also be a bit awkward to control at times, particularly when gliding into a wall, which leads to characters turning around into another wall.

That being said, there are two things that kinda brought the game down for me. The first is the frequent loading screens and the travels you sometimes need to do. While there is fast travel, getting back home is often not worth seeking out a fast travel spot, especially if you can't remember where they were.

The second can be kinda considered spoiler so I'll only mention it briefly. The game feels like there should have been an Act 3 to the story, but it feels like that was cut. There were voice lines hinting towards it, and then it just kinda gets... dropped? This in particular hurts one of the two protagonists, who gets one thing near the end, which doesn't really get elaborated on. (Though maybe it was in some random events. I didn't do too many of those in the end as I didn't need to heal much.)

Overall, I love this game, even with the flaws.

This game is very well done. Lots of polish and lots of music variety. You'd be hardstrapped to find a game fitting these two game genres (Bullet Hell and Rhythm) better than this.

One thing to say is; if you have played a lot of bullet hells. This game will mostly be easy. Some campain and extra songs may give you some challenge, but this is not the game to go looking for excrutiating difficulty.

This game has you against anything that is pink. Circles, squares, snakes, monsters, equalisers etc etc. If it's pink don't touch it. The neat thing is, some of the pink effects don't actually damage you, these are usually faded so they can be easy to tell. A lot of time has gone into most pink attacks, with some being randomised, some consistent, and the amount of warning each attack gives has been tailored for every song. Most attacks can be sight read, but still give you a palpable sense of pressure.

This game is so good that you can forgive some flaws. Not all attacks have good tells. Particularly some of the big boss fights, where an enemy will appear offscreen without warning. Though these are thankfully few and far between. The campain's songs can also be a bit of a mixed bag of difficulty, with some being much harder than those around them.

The multiplayer is good. There are a couple bugs here and there. (Minor ones though. The Challenge UI can get stuck when going into friends lobby. Friends will appear to get hurt at the start of songs.) However it's so satisfying playing a song, and needing to go rescue a friend because they died to the one stupid small circle. With 4 people, matches become hectic in both trying to find people and keeping track of what is coming directly for you.

The biggest downside to multiplayer is the inflexible match style, the lack of difficulty changes for songs and the small boss song pool. The match style is locked to; 2 normal songs, 1 boss song. The first and third issue combine together and make it so that every 3 songs, you are likely to play a repeat song. But the large normal pool means that there are songs you won't find, even when playing 2 hours in a row.

Overall, this is a very fun game. Everyone should try to give this a go. It is just so fun, and so well made. There was only 1 time where I got made at the game, and that madness did not even last long.

P.S. Please do bring out that level editor for the game. I would love to mess around with creating attacks to songs.

A bittersweet visual novel, focusing on two characters that have met in an new "world" that is almost completely white stone and is always raining. The story in of itself is nicely paced, mainly featuring a conversation between the mc and the girl. While a good majority of it is a conversation, it can pull on your heart strings. It also allows you to choose one of two stories pieces to have before the other before more unlock.

The artwork is nicely done, with effort to make each shot being unique. Each piece has this sort of cleanliness to it that is unlike many other novels.

The music is top notch, featuring a number of piano pieces that aid the emotion of each scene. Each piece is one that I would gladly have playing as background music for when I'm studying or doing other tasks. The voice acting is ok. It falls into the issue of only having female voice cast, so the main character and the male side characters have no voice acting. There is no particular moments where the voice acting shone.

A lot of the same things can be said for the Narcissu #1 story. Except this one is even more bittersweet. So all in all, if you like having a visual novel that is well written and lasts for about 2-3 hours (including Narcissu) then this is a VN for you.

Note: This is a review based on a connection from east coast Australia on already shaky connections to servers.

TL:DR
There are issues with lag for me, that were made worse by shaky servers. Class balance was off, especially with classes that where objectively better than another. Mana and mana regen were really scarce, which makes class balance worse. It's a pretty looking and it sounds quite nice as well. I recommend if you don't get lag issues (or you can stand it).

After playing in the CTB2 beta, my opinion of this game was not very high. The majority of this is due to the bad connection between me and the server. The latency was so bad, that I could have been out of a boss's tell for .5seconds and still get hit by it. This is also exemplified by the fact you are stuck in auto attack animations that you fired off. So it could be that you fired an attack off, .1 of a second later a tell appears but .1 second after that you are then stuck in a attack that you can't move from leaving you stuck in an attack that you couldn't dodge. There may be ways of attack canceling but I didn't play around to find out.

Besides that; The art style for this game is greatly pleasing. It really is just nice to look at, and the majority of it is smoothly animated. The pieces that aren't as smoothly animated do tend to be a bit jarring but often it isn't completely over the top. This game is a good looker and I sure as hell didn't mind staring at it the entire time.

Gameplay wise, this game is good. Not spectacular though. Once again, the game has problems with latency (further made an issue with servers). Only your movement didn't seem affected by latency while attacks and skills are. This leads to a lot of jumps with the character as it has to correct it's position to where the attack/skill actually went off at.
Fighting was really satisfying, however mana and mana regen is extremely low in this game. This makes it so every character needs to rely on their auto attack between chugging mana potions. At the time of CTB2, the only truly viable solo character, once again especially with lag, was the swordsman. This was mainly because the swordsman (barbarian class) had a skill that could 3 shot quite a lot of bosses making the experience much much easier than any other class.
That brings on the next issue, class balance at CTB2 was quite horrid in my opinion. I can't speak from mid-late game, but early game there are some really big balance issues, especially with the archer class not having any piercing benefits (even though they are piercing type). I'll leave it there before making a fool of myself though.
Leveling is alright, although with plans to drop exp bonuses it might become quite grindy to level even early game. If you like that great, but if it's too slow to me after launch, I might as well play other games rather than grind.
The best part is the classes in which it allows you to choose your own path and take skills that you want. You could say play a defensive archer and have that work etc etc. However as mention before class balance is off, and there were clearly better choices in classes you should pick at the time.

Storywise? Eh it was ok, nothing truly great, but enough to keep you going. Most quests however are not shown to the player. You actually needed to ask people, this is up to you whether or not you find it good. The bad part is, NPC's will not tell you if you are too low for a quest they have, meaning you could accidentally skip quests and end up behind the curve for levelling.

Soundwise, it was quite good. I've forgotten most of how it actually sounded, but if I remember correctly the music was a nice sub genre of electronic. One thing however. Sound was orientated depend on whatever direction your character was looking rather than the direction of the screen. A very awkward design choice there. (May not be the case for 2 channel audio)

Do I recommend this game? If it isn't laggy, go straight for it and see if you like the grind. If it is laggy, you may get frustrated like me and end up quitting because of the amount of BS that you couldn't control without going overly out of your way to correct.
