As kid my mother always made popcorn. Hell to this day whenever she wants a quick snack while watching TV she gets out the kernels and oil and makes a fresh bowl. I always would cherish the time we would spend together and enjoying our snack. Personally I like butter on mine and a little bit of salt. But popcorn is more than just a tasty snack that you can prepare at home in a pinch. Popcorn can give us valuable life lessons. When you turn on the stove and get that burner nice and hot, put the oil in the pot, and then put your kernels in it can teach you more than you would think. The popcorn is prepared in the same oil, in the same pot, under the same heat, yet they all pop at different times. We can reflect on this and realize that we shouldn't compare our progress in life to others. Your time to pop will come.
