Early Access Review
Played the demo/pre-alpha, and bought the game as soon as it came out on EA.
Relaxing and fun game, but with a lot of complexity and depth.

Played it during the free beta.
This game takes the cloning mechanic from puzzles and put it in an FPS.

The result is an intense yet fun game that requires not only shooting skill, but also a good memory.

Not actually a rhythm based game as much as it is a trial-and-error based game.
When encountering new visual patterns, nothing actually telegraphs what the musical pattern will be.
You have to try first, fail, and then know the answer on your second attempt.

Even though the soundtrack is nice, I decided to refund within the first 10 minutes of playing the game, after completing worlds 1,2,3.
Each world contained a few semi-tutorial stages which lead to a grand finale stage.
These final stages (marked by 1-x, 2-x, 3-x) had really good beat to them.

But the fact remained that passing them had little to do with actually "feeling the rhythm" and more with pure trial-and-error and heavy reliance on the visual cue as opposed to auditory cues (which aren't really there in the first place).

Great concept, mediocre execution with a lot of room for improvement.

It's like sports but ironically without the sports, but unironically with the physical activity.
Also, a BIG plus for character costumization.

If the Epic launcher will ever be needed to launch it, I'll quit Rocket League for good.

The developers made a quick cashgrap by making a 'sequel' software that is literally the same thing instead of keep updating this one.

THIS SOFTWARE IS ABANDONED.
