Beautiful lighting, great aesthetics and atmosphere, intuitive base building combined with a fleshed out combat system and Terraria-esque progression makes for a great survival game based on norse mythology. There is plenty to find, new places to see and shores to reach in the procedural generated maps of Valheim. Brace the wild on your own or with fellow vikings. The best survival experience so far.

No meaningful progression, gear gets completely wiped after every region switch, so you have to start over in every region. Key Items just dissappear into thin air when switching regions aswell. Enemys dont grant EXP and therefore are a waste of time, no reason to kill them at all. The only way to level up is by finding artifacts, which are rare items found in dungeon across many regions (like 1-2 artifacts per region). These artifacts however, are completely useless and only grant non-combat stat bonus like 1% hang-glider speed per artifact. Good thing to spend like 4 hours in a region, gearing up for the artifact dungeon, getting that sweet, sweet speed for the hanglider you instantly lose upon going to the next area. So basically, after finishing the region you just delete your character and start a new one, there is basically no difference.
