Great game. I would say it is the best in the series and does not ruin any of the original charm or simplicity of the game. It is harder but it is worth the challenge. As others have said, it'd be great if you could go back and specifically see what you missed but its still really fun.

Early Access Review
I wish there was an ability to give mixed reviews myself. I have really wrestled with whether I would or would not recommend this game, but honestly, I would not.

The devs have worked very hard to make a good game, and I appreciate that, but in doing so, they took out a lot of the things that made the game unique and fun and made it feel like you were actually an individual running something. The food and drink creation system now just makes me bored and frustrated, whereas it used to make me excited to create something thematic with new ingredients.

Since the last major update, I've tried several times to open up and play the game, but I can't find myself invested longer than two hours max when previously I could have gone for hours. Everything else is beautiful; there is a lot of love in this game, but I have just found it difficult to have fun.

It's.. not what you want. If you're in it for the fun potions? You don't get much of it, and there's not much reward for going outside of the entry to the forest. If you're in it for the social aspect of socializing with a town? It's flat, with minimal interactions. I was really looking forward to this, but I'm sad. I actually had to check if this was in early access, because of the emptiness of the game, but also the user interface is frustrating, least if you're on keyboard. Selecting anything is a nightmare if there is more than one thing near it.

If you like it, I'm glad. I just came in with high expectations, and overall am leaving disappointed.

There is a lot to enjoy about this game. As all games, it does have the occasional flaw, but at the time of me writing this, I have 105 hours. I'm going to list a couple pros and a couple cons, but I'll say that it's definitely worth the buy if you want a fun, mindless management game.

This is my firs review, so pardon me for doing anything wrong. Here are my pro's and con's:

Pro:
1. It's easy to pick up. Plays a bit like a rogue like the further you get through it, and the more you play the more you get used to it.
2. It's addictive. You can spend hours mindlessly playing it and finding new futures and combinations.
3. Graphics aren't god tier, but the art style is cute, and there are small details everywhere that really add to it.
4. Details to story and quests are good, and the flavor texts on cards is very funny.
5. The difficulty levels are good. You can find good challenges if you want, or just play for fun.

Con:
1. This is hard, I don't find much wrong with this game. The replay-ability is probably the weakest part. After some point, this game becomes difficult to play if you aren't just playing it for mindless stimulation. There's nothing wrong with that, but it does become repetitive.
2. There's the occasional broken English sprinkled throughout the game, so if that bothers you, that's a con, however it has gotten better and better as the game has added updates.

That's all I really have to say. I recommend this game! I'm excited for the bonus content coming soon!
