As others have said, the game is quite shallow at the moment. There's a very simple progression of acquiring new bots and programs, with most of the fun being from the customization of your bit and environment. As a desktop toy I'd say it's alright, but lacking key features. The default scaling option is imperfect and results in uneven visuals. And as I'm running this on a vertical second monitor, there isn't really a good way to lay out the screens. Additionally, having made my own layout on said monitor, I can't lock the windows in their positions, meaning a minor misclick will drag the windows around. Good bones here, and while I am going to recommend the game, I'd say wait for updates before purchasing.

Gearbox managed to not only completely break the game, they did it to add 16 worthless items and 3 terrible survivors. Do not give Gearbox your money.
