Giant robot go BRRRRT

It's a rogue like in the sense that you die a lot.

It's so much more than a rogue like if you look just beyond the surface.

After playing the first game, I can safely say this game takes everything good about it and just improves upon it. All of the new systems just help immerse you in the world even more. The characters are well written. The interactions with NPC's are all wonderful. I'm 84 hours in and I still haven't finished the game because I'm just enjoying all of the content it has to offer.

If you like RPG's and you want an immersive experience, this game is for you.

Edit; Finally completed the game at 94.6 hours. Can't wait to start my next play through!

There are no objectives.

There is only the peace of bringing something into existence from nothing.

Oh, and you can pet the sheep and ducks.

The power fantasy is real. Nothing is more satisfying than wading into melee with a sword and shield, grabbing a Xeno by the tail and slamming it into the ground, hacking into a bigger Xeno to then shoot it in the face, and then ripping one of it's arms off and stabbing it with it. Feels fluid despite the size of your character. It just feels good. Old school gaming at it finest.

As of today, our foreign divers that have been locked out of the game by Sonys poor choice for PSN account requirements were introduced, our fighting force is back to 100%. The region locks have been removed. FOR SUPER EARTH!

After all the backlash, Sony has walked back their decision to require a PSN to play the game at all. I'm still awaiting confirmation that our estranged brothers and sisters have returned to the fight, but this is how we get it done. Never doubt the willpower of a fighting force able to kill 2 billion bugs in less than 12 hours.

I have a Sony account. I have a Playstation. I play mostly on Steam. I have been forced to link my two accounts and I stand with our Helldivers outside of the 69 countries that cannot create accounts. Either we all get to be free, or no one does.

SONY BETTER BACK DOWN ON THIS.

Take Starship Troopers, Terminator 2, and Halo 3 ODST.

Stick them in a blender.

Sprinkle in some MANAGED DEMOCRACY and LIBERTY.

You get this thing. And I have loved every minute of it.

Do you wish is was bigger and had more specialization in your vocations?
Are you tired of hearing that wolves hunt in packs?

Come play. You'll like it.

If you see wolves, know that they hunt in packs.
If you see goblins/hobgoblins, know that they fear fire.
If you see armed bandits, know that weaklings in large groups are weaklings still.

Also know that your pawn will pick up a rock and tell you that it's treasure.

I built a quadrupedal mech that shot lasers and had a beeeeeeeg gun. I colored it like EVA 01 and blew other mechs up. Over. And over. It was lovely.

A roguelike H game. But the writing is witting. The gameplay isn't mind numbing. And the pixel art scenes are also good. Enjoy.
