surely its mostly nostalgia. it's a classic tycoon game, much better than modern sims, in my opinion. feels fleshed out, and professionally made, unlike new simulations with no style.

Just wanted to jump in and say its very similar to a Neopets game called Kass Basher. Theres more to this game with the upgrades. In the Neopets version you mostly upgrade your bat, but bouncing is in that game too.

fun little game, but server selection hasnt been working very well. i select online co-op from menu and about half the time only the top option is selected and joinable with the mouse and arrow keys not allowing selection of other servers. searching for a server is sort of the same issue, cant select with mouse or arrows, but once in a while it will be pre-selected and joinable.

once into a game it does work and the game is enjoyable. if looking to play single player you can disregard my review, because it is a good game.

i used to play as a kid, most items in the game cost real money, but they apparently added a number of earn-able items. the game is mostly useful as a chatroom, you can talk to people from all over the world. creating a toon, and furnishing rooms to invite other people to visit is kind of all there is to do.

with the push-back against micro-transaction it really seems the main focus is just that. I used to spend $10 here and there as a kid. then the main game market crashed, you could get rare items for 1 coin. This new version feels like a way to reset the economy.

When the game is actually populated, you can, however, go to peoples furnished rooms and chat with all matter of people. there are public rooms as well with furniture built by a worker of some kind.

I'm a bit on the fence about recommending cause on one hand you have an interesting chat focused game, and on the other even certain clothes cost money (at least: i did spend money on some in the old version).

Most of my gear came from the Inn pvp auto-battles but i can afk depth 3 without worries after 10 hours of game time

Progressed to depth 10 and temple level 2 in about a week. Most gear still from the Inn and affording a few things from the shop with in-game currency.

Haven't made it all the way through, but it seems good so far. It has you go to areas to clear out mobs. Not very difficult mobs though, hardest part is sometimes they run around you. From what I've played it has you start out with some simple quests helping a village, then turns into an overarching story.

The controls seem fine, but I noticed the map objects (like fences) kind of flashing in and out of existence on the rare occasion.

Mainly my only issue is it's a bit easy. I defeated the goblin chieftain, and hardly lost any health/didn't need health potions.

played for about 2 months now as free to play, its an idle game though. I set things to do overnight, or through the day. progressing into endgame combat is still a little out of reach, but have had fun doing skills. endgame gear costs a few 100 million coins, while skills earn about 12 million a day. The game is possible without the market as what is called an "ironcow". people have progressed though nearly the entirety of the game as ironcow, making all their gear themselves.

most if not all the "pay to win" is Cosmetic, or Quality of Life. Theres not a huge advantage to spending money, unless youre selling the "currency" of the market which also benefits F2P. The 12 million (daily skilling income) can currently buy about 400 ingame currency and most "pay to win" things cost about 100-250.

update: sort of stopped playing but still very much recommended. it turned into me just popping in daily to update my idle timer.
