Figured to give this a try. When on the same day, I'm able to log in fine and later "fail to verify", it tells me that it has some bugs that need to be worked on long term. That and it being an idle game where you need to check every so often, I can't recommend this game.

Currently, Duet Night Abyss is basically play at your own risk, because you'll never know if there's going to be another attack.

As for Version 1.3, story is interesting for me to come back to try it again (after a month wait). There's plenty of things that need to be done in game to be more Quality of Life updates. (Like trying to grind Demon Wedges to +10, either make it multiple waves or up the rate on them)

Other than that, it's a good idle game to enjoy.

With recent fixes and such, I do recommend the game for the story. In regards to that, you do have to preplan ahead of time to get what you want/need, but the Gacha aspect is pretty much f2p friendly.

Just don't get sucked into the black hole as Score Chasing, unless you want to max out every character.

While I didn't mind the PvP as much as I could, four things really stood out for me.

1) The cosmetics in this game, yes, some of them are free, but majority of it is locked behind a paywall. Normally, I wouldn't mind it as much, but currently, outside of the marketplace, there's no true way to get free Corite at this time of review.
2) A balance patch would be nice to help not make certain mechs hard counters. It's not good to spend 10 minutes in a respawn simulator. Some 1v1 fights I've done, I actually didn't mind losing in those cases. It's just getting deleted off the map because a mech just outcounters another, with no way to have that player engage the game in any way would be an extremely easy uninstall.
3) The Rep System. I get the premise behind it, but it can also be limited towards if someone is doing nefarious things, they get banned from matchmaking for a duration of time, not allowed to jump back into a match immediately after something is found.
4) The "swear filter" system. I'm wondering why night is included in it.

EDIT: Recent update didn't really address problems. It just added more balance issues. Personally, the game was more fun in the beta and with how it was released, it's not as fun as it could have been.

In all intent and purpose behind this game, I couldn't see it as a Gacha game. Never should've been.

WIth the End of Service announcement and refund policy, it messed up a lot of players and ruined reputation behind the developers for this game. Which is unfortunate because it had a lot of good ideas behind it, but with failed transaction and policies to make you want to spend money to keep this game afloat, it was inevitable.

Figured to give it a try. From what I experienced, it's not worth $60 for a $20 dollar game.

Why?
- Guns and abilities aren't really engaging in any way, shape, or form.
- After I got past the tutorial, I didn't feel any difficulty unlike majority of roguelikes I've played in the past.

As it stands: Yes to single player, but no to multiplayer.

Sure, it has some studdering of frames, but I haven't experienced crashes yet, outside of EAC and Win 11 24H2 problems. Unfortunately, the workaround basically removed multiplayer for me entirely, so I can't recommend that portion though.

With bot lobbies, if you don't really have any friends to play with, the time playing can be a bit miserable. Avoid if playing solo.

Not worth the sanity and time. Only really installed it to see how many achievements I did.

Honestly, a bit too straightforward and a bit too easy that made this game too boring to play.
