You're right, I'm still missing your point... How are you unable to do any of those things just because you're playing with friends?

You're missing the point still, I'm not shaming you for invading, I'm trying to help you understand that I was playing with friends and your tactics of ganging up on one player at a time with a disadvantage was ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Everything you just listed with grinding souls, way of the blue, NPCs, all of that is all moot, because I was playing with friends. Invasions are MORE frequent if you're playing with friends, friends who are new to the game and can't PVP like inavders do, so not only are they increasing the risk of invasion, but more invade at a time who are more capable of taking down rookie players. Way of the Blue won't work if your party is full. I really just feel like you're glossing over everything I'm saying because you're suggesting things that don't work with the circumstances I've already described multiple times. So for that reason, I'm out.

*whew*, that was... Probably more than what was necessary. I hope that I've at least gotten my point across.

I would much rather go and do some invasions for a few hours than have to farm for a week, which is what I had to do on another character a long time ago back when I had no internet for wolfblood swordgrass. I simply don't find that fun, and I find invasions infinitely more fun than the alternative. So if you're telling me to go and waste a week of my life, just so that you can skip out on a two minute inconvenience, that's really quite selfish of you.

Rebuttal: You're right. It was my choice to invade. But I'm not doing it to "take advantage of lower level/experience platers, gang up on them, and in general, be greifing ♥♥♥♥" (also yes, I'm purposefully including the grammatical error there for the sake of accuracy). I'm doing it to avoid having to farm NPCs for the covenant items. The only way to get shackles (other than the obvious) is by farming the carthus swordsman/gravewarden skeletons in the catacombs, which have an approximate 1-2% drop rate.

Point 2: "You could have seen what was going on and dueled it out or bailed out."

Rebuttal: Duel it out? How would I do that, when there are two other invaders trying to murder you as well. Bail on the situation? What, would you rather I go and ruin some other poor sap's day just so that you don't have to have your game delayed by two minutes? That's really rather selfish of you. You should just take the beating, stand back up, and kick the ass of whoever tries to come and interrupt your game next.

Point 1: The fight wasn't a 3v3 at any point, therefore it was heavily in your favor.

Rebuttal: Were you not doing co-op with two other friends? You were implying that with the wording that you are using, and if that is the case then your point is actually worse off for it. That implies that it started out as a 3v1, host/phantoms vs, invader, then another came in, and at some point between that and the third invader coming there, the tables had turned and one-two of you had died. That means that you started out with a very heavy advantage over them, only to lose it later on for whatever reason, and just because a fight starts out as a 3v3, that doesn't mean that once one person defeats their foe that they have to sit there and watch. That's the point of a 3v3, it allows for one side to try and gain the upper hand by quickly knocking one of the other team's fighters out so as to increase the pressure on the others.

Another good way to avoid getting shut down by invaders is to grind for souls until you're overleveled. That way, invasions will be far less frequent and those who do invade you will be of a considerably lower level than you. One final, really great way to keep invaders out is by equipping Way of The Blue as the host. They'll come help you out if you're getting invaded, and really tip the tides. Hell, PLEASE do that. Those blues *really* need those concords. I kind of gave up on getting Darkmoon Blade because of how infuriatingly infrequent summons are for those, you'd really be doing the community a favor by equipping that. Now, onto your shaming me for invading:

I... Have no idea what you're talking about. In what way do invaders have an advantage over the host and phantoms, other than NPCs, which are incredibly easy to avoid in a PvP situation anyways. Not only that, but the host has considerably more health than the invaders, as well as twice the estus. Also, if you're being invaded so much, you should probably check to see if you've gotten any Seeds of the Giant Tree. They can be fairly useful in invasions, assuming the invader isn't smart enough to use it for NPC baiting. Something to also keep in mind is that there's a number of enemies throughout the game that can damage invaders, even if they won't normally target them. A great example is the giant crabs; I love to use them to stack up some damage and speed debuffs on particularly agressive invaders that don't feel like exchanging plesantries.

We're trying to have fun, we made that choice to together as friends. So excuse me if I stand by my original statement, I'm glad 3v1 was fun for you, it wasn't fun for us. You make an otherwise amazing game impossibly difficult for casual friends to play together. I'm sure you're a nice person and fun to play games with, but it takes a serious lack of empathy for other players to play like you do. Your argument boils down to "I was doing my own thing so ♥♥♥♥ you and your friends for wanting to enjoy a game together"

I realize I'm making a slightly altered point here, but nevertheless, it wasn't 3v3 at any point. And when two players die, it ceases to be a 3v3 if everyone is attacking the same person at a time. Could've dueled it out, could've seen the unfair situation and bailed out, but you chose to gang up to get your measley one item. That was your choice.

With casual friends, who don't normally play games, a single invader is devastating. You see it as a 3v3 like we were playing a match, but we were in the game world where the single player is at a severe disadvantage against invaders where an otherwise matchmade PVP has everybody even. You're welcome to look at the charts that show percentages for the stat advantages invaders get. YOU COME IN WITH AN EDGE WHEN YOU INVADE. Do I also have to remind you that while invaded, we also have to deal with monsters invaders don't? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills if you think somehow the odds were ever stacked fairly.

Um... Sorry! If you three were going through the world (I assume there were three, as you implied such through what you said), you should deal with the consequence of invasions. It's a small price to pay for making the game exponentially easier. I would also hardly call a 3v3 that we won a 3v1. I was playing as a Pyromancer, and I was just trying to farm for shackles so that I could get Warmth.

You invaded my friends and I playing casually, took us down to one, and 3v1'd me. Players like you make it impossible to play for fun with friends who barely play video games. We just want to experience the world and you invade and harass and impede. Just trying to show my friend what a beautiful and interesting game it is, and we get invaded by you ♥♥♥♥♥ every ten seconds, just for wanting to play together.
