To preface this I will say I first played this game on the Nintendo Switch, and buying it on PC has only shown me how optimized and compelling it truly is.

Pumpkin jack is a love letter to every 3d action platformer you grew up with. It pulls elements from the 5th and 6th generation of games (Ps1/n64/saturn to ps2/xbox/gamecube/dreamcast). It's art style, score, and gameplay make it stand out from modern 3d platformers, while still wearing its influences on its sleeve, specifically Medievil. This may be the best solodev game I have ever played.

Each level has a variety of gameplay elements and puzzles that prevents the core combat/platforming from becoming stale and repetitive, while having unique design to traverse and explore. The game is not a collectathon by any means, but still gives you a reason to explore each nook and cranny of the level for crow skulls which act as currency and as completionist's incentive.

I cannot recommend Nicolas Meyssonnier's baby enough, not only to fans of the genre but to everyone, as I feel it has so much to give to even the most casual game player.

This is bound to be possibly one of the best games i have ever played, maybe.

Hell. F*cking. Yeah.

There has never been a better year/decade for Postal to come back, and I can say whole heartedly that Postal 4, even in its Janky alpha state, has so much potential to become one of the most hilarious and sadistic open world games in years.

If Early Access means I get to:
Watch this game grow,
Really Interact with the developers through streams/community, (in a way that actually matters)
Play with new features as they are released,
Play a genuine new Postal game in 2020,
and possibly the best postal game by 202X.

All RWS needs is support. If any of the last 5 things I said don't interest you, and you cannot get past this game being still in development (quite lovingly I might add). Try the game when its "released".
I'll be slaughtering people with pidgeons, beating some dude with another dudes head, mowing down pedestrians on my scooter, and enjoying each new day as they are released, while you wait.

UPDATE: 11/26/2020

Postal 4 is better than ever with the addition of the 4 barrel "Fournacator" and updates to the scooter. The game continues to get stability updates as well as fun cosmetics (Bloody footsteps). Still worth every penny!!

Despite its current buggy nature, the game has so much promise that it is worth getting a headstart and trying to survive. BUY THIS GAME!!
