The first game in about 10 years to bring about child-like excitement as I drove home (called out of work sick post-drop) to install and play.

Virtuos said in the launch interview that this is a love letter to OG Oblivion and boy do you feel it. Incredible.

The game is superb. It is not broken. Don't fall for anti-democracy messaging. The devs never knew it would be received like this, and they have owned the mess in multiple messages. Proud to be a Super Citizen and look forward to playing this game for a long time.

As other reviews have stated, the game is very short. My three hour total time included several stints where I left the game running to deal with other daily tasks.
However,
The story is superbly well done and the characters are compelling. I anticipated some of the twists, but was still surprised by their execution. The game is breathtakingly beautiful, and in the middle of a record heat wave it was nice to escape to a cold Norwegian Fjord.
Tl;dr For the $20 bucks I paid on Humble Bundle to get this and 7 other games ($2.50 per game) it was an absolute door-off-the-hinges steal. I will look forward to getting all achievements as a side project when I want to revisit it.

I expected it to be a button-mashing grind, but the story is compelling and the dynamics easily build upon themselves. The open world component allows some steaming through the story but gives room for the necessary breaks to search for better weapons or skill up. Glad I grabbed it while it was on sale!

The type of game where you start a campaign at noon and look up 15 minutes later and its 4. So much detail and beauty, its hard to pull yourself away from it. Even got my wife to jump in with me!

This game is like good wine. It's technically worth the listing price, but if you can get it at discount it makes it that much better. $2 is an absolute steal for 20 hours of quarantine distraction. Plus the sheer fact that it is such a multi-faceted challenge makes replay a high possibility (gotta get that one-shot run in). Super happy that I caught the sale and if anyone is considering it and has the cash, do it anyway.
