It's the same as with the gold rush era, first ones get rich. My advice for you is to make games out of passion and enjoy it. You can start by working at a game studio and later on create your own company. It will be a hard journey, but totally worth it if you really love games!

Please stay away from Boundless. It's a dead MMO voxel game. There is no "singleplayer" unless you pay a sub to rent your own planet.

I could go on and on, but I'll just leave my review instead. TL;DR: Literally play any other voxel game but this. I can recommend Vintage Story if you don't like Minecraft (or want something new).
