Update: Sony has FINALLY backpedaled on requiring PSN and the region lock to PSN locations. I will not remove what i had previously said, and I will still look at this as a black mark on Sony's history. however I cannot fault Arrowhead for this, and do still enjoy playing the game.


Sony threw out a ton of player good will to make a quick buck by selling our data. They also tried gaslighting us into thinking "oh it was always supposed to be psn linked" when their own website FaQ said it was optional until the day they changed it. I feel bad for Arrowhead, i really do, but Sony is toxic, manipulative, and clearly doesn't care about their devs, customers, or anyone but their top management. Refund if you can, and don't buy this or any other sony property.

This is a game for die-hard FPS fans. It combines the precision of super meat boy in terms of learning how to use the controls to the best advantage, the MOBA style matchmaking, and the Halo style balancing. The game is good, however there are some very major flaws that prevent me from recomending this game. Some of the weapons are very underpowered (such as the pistols), but that should be expected from what everyone starts every game with. Other weapons, most notibly the AWP (pronounced OP for very good reason) are so overpowered that you could give two players on one team that gun and expect to win against any amount of other players. The gun has very quick fire rate for a sniper, it kills on hit no matter where it is, it is very easy to aim, has the longest range in the game, and reloads faster than most of the assult rifles. Every time I played a round, the first team to get someone with an AWP won the match. The game is very unbalanced and expects unreal levels of precision with controls. The hit boxes dont even register with bullets from automatic weapons half of the time, and most of the shotguns have such damage dropoff that unless you are colliding with your target you wont kill them. All of the bombs are pretty much useless aside from minor inconvenience or blocking a path for a few seconds, and any of the non AWP, non automatic weapons might at well be pistols for how much accuracy they need vs how much damage they do. The only two weapons worth using are the AWP and the deagle, between the fire rate and damage of those two guns, every other weapon is useless. Overall, the game is horribly balanced and finniky with hit boxes. The only redeeming thing about this game is how it matches you up based on personal skill, not wins vs losses.

This is the first game I have come across where you can build a death wall of arrows. Yes in a game like minecraft you can do that, but it takes alot of resources and arrows you actually use, this is just "find trap, place trap, set up, good."
