Honestly at this point, I can't imagine playing Risk of Rain 2 without the DLC. It's a breath of fresh air, with interesting new items, synergies and enemies.

Once you get over the hurdle of some of the more annoying enemies, and learn how to deal with them, it really feels like going back to the base game would be hollow, or missing some of the aspects that wrap it up into a neat little bundle. The items are good, but not too good to be a straight upgrade in every single case, I always find myself considering if I want void X or regular X.
