Early Access Review
Starsand Island feels like corpo garbage made to appeal to the masses. It gives you that icky uncanny valley type of feeling when you roam the streets of the island. You're bombarded by information, there's no way to deactivate the UI or, at least, to make it smaller. The NPCs already give you gifts left and right even though you do not know them yet. Job progression feels weird as well: your first task as a Crafter is to make a skateboard? Can't you start with a table or something easier just to give the player the illusion of making actual progress before crafting more complex items? The handholding... Oh gosh, the amount of handholding in this game reaches almost surreal levels. The game gives you absolutely no incentive to explore the island by yourself, everything is just laid out on a platter. Don't know where to go? Follow this convenient trail of stars on the ground to find... rocks! wood! copper! this random npc! It really feels like the devs think the playerbase has a negative IQ smh. On top of that, you're already given all that you need. No need to break a sweat! Here you go, there's your skateboard, oh! and a free moped at that!
Should I also mention that the devs have used AI?

This is the best platformer I've ever played in my life. The writing is excellent, the cast is so bizarre and endearing at the same time and the levels had so much variety that I had great pleasure exploring them! I do have to address several issues which are the camera and the typical janky platforming of a game released over 20 years ago. The parkour in the very last level made me scream BLOODY MURDER several times. If you've already played the game, you'll know what this is about. Just before you reach the flaming nets, you have to jump. Except that if you're fast enough to follow the boss, the camera will pee in your mouth just before you grab the ledge of the platform. And don't even get me started on the cleaver clipping and still hitting you. Other than that, I would regard this game as a beautiful gem. The devs have poured a lot of love into Psychonauts, and it's safe to say I have high expectations for the sequel. Bravo!

This is a short and sweet visual novel murder mystery to enjoy with a nice cup of tea, which is a great way to keep yourself occupied on a free afternoon. For a game that was supposed to be a joke, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog oozes with charm. I definitely appreciated the dialogue as well as the fact that you play as an average person. For this price, there is nothing to complain about!

The release of BF6 marks the return of the golden era of FPS games. With excellent gameplay and sound design, it really feels like you're fighting for your life on a battlefield. 10/10 I'll scream MEDIC! from the top of my lungs again and again.

Bye Sweet Carole is nothing short of amazing. Being able to play it feels like a dream come true! The animations are so beautiful and smooth, the environments are stock-full of details. It's quite dangerous because I can't stand all day lingering and contemplating the art, lest a monster catches me! The gameplay is fairly simple: there are a few QTE events - nothing too complicated I must reassure you, you interact with the environment to get clues and solve puzzles. I really can't wait to dive deeper into Bye Sweet Carole's beautiful world!

I had high expectations for this visual novel because the setting is different from what you would usually expect. Misericorde: Volume One screamed "high ambitions" for a solo developer, and I was eager to see what XEECEE had to offer. There's so much going on: a murder, conspiracies, embarrassing and funny moments, and eerie visions (and possibly ghosts).
In my 16.5 hours of playtime, I never once felt bored—quite the contrary! I was torn between tearing myself away from Misericorde's engrossing story and getting enough sleep to feel refreshed the next morning. As a writer, I was impressed by how XEECEE developed the characters. They have very distinct personalities, and it was highly satisfying to see them evolve and become more complex as the story progressed. Praise is due for choosing a reclusive nun as the protagonist, who acts and reacts in a realistic way, just as you would expect a hermit to behave when forced out of their usual way of life. It's refreshing to encounter raw, imperfect characters who act in accordance with their beliefs. There is a certain beauty to it, and I think XEECEE perfectly captures it.
If you are looking for an easy way to get into visual novels, Misericorde: Volume One is the perfect entry point. Now, if you'll excuse me, it's time for me to boot up Volume Two!

Cute little game to play in coop! The ending left us with more questions than answers. We encountered quite a few bugs as well, but loading the game again fixed them.

RGG Studio really delivered something special with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. What a beautiful way to conclude Kiryu's story! Highly, highly recommended! This might be the best Yakuza game ever made with Yakuza 0!

This remake is nothing short of amazing! As a newcomer to the Trails series, I couldn't be happier with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. The game oozes charm, the protagonists are lovable from the get go, the music is memorable and the combat is tight and feels super satisfying! I really can't wait to see what the story has to offer, as I've heard great things about it! Also, the animations look really smooth and beautiful, and they really bring the characters to life! The Japanese dub is excellent as well. Based on what I've seen so far, I'd say the price is justified.

Also, Estelle is Bestelle!

Edit 09.21: I completed the prologue in 6 hours just to do all the side quests and explore Rolent and its surroundings. I can't wait to see more!
